Nevada State Democratic Party 2016 Elections Deadlines: I. National Delegate Elections a. Potential candidates for National Delegate must file their Delegate Intent Forms by 10:00 a.m. on May 14, 2016. II. NSDP Elections a. Filing for the 2016 Nevada State Democratic Party (NSDP) Executive Board, National Committeewoman and National Committeeman elections will open April 18, 2016 at 8 A.M. The nomination form shall be sent out via e- mail, mail (for delegates without an e- mail address on file with the NSDP), and available on the NSDP website, www.nvdems.com. b. The nomination forms shall be received at the NSDP office by April 25, 2016 at 5:00 PM to be considered a candidate for election. Per the convention rules, all candidates meeting the filing deadline shall be considered nominated candidates. No late forms will be accepted. c. Forms may be: i. e- mailed to: nominations@nvdems.com ii. faxed to: 702-735- 2700 iii. mailed to: Nevada State Democratic Party Attn: 2016 Election Nominations 6233 Dean Martin Drive Las Vegas, NV 89118 d. There shall not be an opportunity to run as a write- in candidate. In the event no person files for one of the offices one week prior to the deadline, notice shall be sent out to the delegates. In the event that no one files for an office by the close of the filing deadline, nominations for that office only shall be taken from the floor of the convention.

Meeting Times: I. The General Session begins at 9:00 AM on May 14, 2016. Campaigning: I. Nomination forms shall be distributed to the delegates by the NSDP no later than May 6, 2016 at 5:00 P.M. II. Other communications with the delegates shall be sent by the NSDP or Convention Secretary. Due to the large number of candidates expected, communications will be limited to the nomination form and two (2) additional messages per candidate. III. Messages from the various candidates shall be grouped together and distributed to the delegates on no more than two occasions. a. The first group of messages shall be submitted to the NSDP by May 4, 2016 at 5:00 P.M. and shall be sent to the delegates no later than May 6, 2016. b. The second group of messages shall be submitted to the NSDP by May 9, 2016 at 5:00 P.M. shall be sent to the delegates no later than May 11, 2016. c. These messages shall be emailed to nominations@nvdems.com by the deadline and contain 2016 Convention email communication to delegates in the subject line. The messages shall also contain the candidate s name and the position the candidate is seeking. IV. Candidates may campaign at the convention site. Campaigning may begin when registration for the convention opens. Out of respect for speakers and the convention process, candidates shall not campaign in the meeting hall while the convention is in session. Campaigning may take place in the hallway and areas outside of the meeting hall. Once the election agenda item has been opened by the chair, all campaigning for that specific election must cease, except for candidate remarks. V. Candidates may pass out materials to convention delegates and may have up to three (3) people assist with their campaigning. Campaign signs and other materials shall not be hung up or taped to any part of the building. Candidates shall be responsible for any damage caused by their campaign materials. Candidates shall pick up any leftover campaign materials after the meeting. VI. Candidates shall refrain from harassment or intimidation of the delegates or disruption of the business of the convention. Speeches:

I. For District Level National Delegate elections, twenty minutes shall be devoted to candidate remarks, to be divided by the number of candidates in the caucus/breakout. For PLEO and At- Large National Delegate elections, each candidate shall be given one minute to address the Convention if an election is conducted. II. For Executive Board candidates, each candidate shall have one minute for candidate remarks. For National Committeewoman and National Committeeman candidates, each candidate shall be given four minutes to address the convention. III. In all instances, times shall be enforced. Elections: I. Elections shall be conducted pursuant to the Rules of the 2016 Nevada State Democratic Convention. Challenges: I. Challenges to elections of National Delegates shall be settled pursuant to the Nevada Delegate Selection Plan for the 2016 Democratic National Convention. II. Challenges to Executive Board, National Committeewoman, and National Committeeman elections shall be decided by the Rules and Bylaws Committee of the Nevada State Democratic Party.
