Bank Ltd. detecting huge frauds and misappropriation by the Management resulting in to substantial recovery and great satisfaction to the Government of Gujarat for depositors at large. 2000-2001 Elected as only Chartered Accountant from Gujarat to the Central Council of the Institute of C.As. of India. 2001-2010 Served in all major Standing Committees i.e. Examination Committee, Executive Committee and Disciplinary Committee and in all non-standing Committees, i.e. 24 different Committees constituted by I.C.A.I. during tenure of 3 terms of 9 years in ICAI. 2006-07 : Elected as VICE PRESIDENT of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. First and only time in the history of Gujarat that a Vice President is elected from Gujarat. Elected for the Third Consecutive Term to the Central Council of ICAI with highest ever votes received by any Council Member in the history of 58 years of ICAI. 2007-08 Elected as PRESIDENT of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (Set up under an Act of Parliament). First time and only in the history of ICAI a CA from Gujarat is elected as President. 4 Appointed as First Chairman of F.R.R.B. (Financial Report Review Board) set up by ICAI and served also as a Member in the last year i.e. 2009-10, which is working like Public Companies Accounting Oversight Board, wherein Nominees from SEBI also participated. During the tenure of President of I.C.A.I. had the privilege of interaction with all important leaders of various Regulatory
authorities functioning across the country including R.B.I. Chairman, SEBI Chairman, IRDA Chairman (Member of IRDA Board for two years).
