Dear colleagues On behalf of all IRODaT Staff, we are glad to present the final numbers of 71 countries in worldwide organ donation and transplantation activity of 2013. As usual, you, the official reporters, are the first ones to receive this international information. This time, from the International Registry in Organ Donation and Transplantation, we would like to encourage you to invite new countries to join us Increasing the IRODaT family we'll make our network even more powerful and helpful for all of us. As you already know, the aim of IRODaT Registry is to help the health professionals; researchers and general community to have access to verified and validate information. WORLDWIDE DONATION ACTIVITY The International Registry in Organ Donation and Transplantation IRODaT presents, in the next figures, the worldwide living and actual deceased donation activity of 2013 in donors per million population (pmp) numbers. It is also included an extra graph where is represented the numbers of the Organ Donors after Cardiac Death. After those it is showed the same activity separated in four big regions: Europe, America, Asia Oceania and Africa Middle East. All of them are compared with the numbers of the previous year 2012. 2. TRANSPLANTATION ACTIVITY IRODaT presents -in this section- the transplantation worldwide activity of 2013. It is divided in 7 different figures, which each one represent a different organ transplant activity (kidney, liver, heart, lung and pancreas). The case of kidney and liver organs are divided into two figures; one for transplant from deceased donors and the other for transplant from living donors. All graphs are represented in pmp, and the case of transplant from deceased donors numbers had included all combinations.
