Secretary's Report: 1 Strafford Director Joe Gorman moved to accept July minutes with certain specified changes. Hillsborough Director Scot Heath seconded. Motion passed. The specified changes were as follows: Page 1 under Secretary s
report the board asked that the changes made to the June minutes be specified. Page 3 under Directors Reports the board asked that the counties be listed. Page 4 the board asked that the time out of Executive Session be noted. Treasurer's Report Strafford Director Joe Gorman moved to accept the Treasurer s report, Hillsborough Director Scot Heath seconded. Motion passed. Executive Director's Report Executive Director Dan Gould gave an overview of the work being done in the office. Building a solid database of club contacts and getting the first issue of Sno-Traveler together have been the biggest projects. STATE AGENCIES: Bureau of Trails: Chief Chris Gamache was absent. NH Fish and Game: Captain Dave Walsh was sworn in as OHRV Administrator on August 11 and gave the board an overview of his experience and plans going forward. Easters Seals NH: Camp SnoMo Fishing Day was on July 21 and was attended by Secretary Tom Willand, Executive Director Dan Gould, and Administrative Assistant Stephanie A. Davis. All three were very glad they got to participate and had a great time. Correspondence: We received a thank you note from Major John Wimsatt for his retirement gift and card. Guests Wishing to Speak: Sullivan County Director/Legislative Committee Chair Terry Callum introduced Attorney Jim Bianco and Karen Soucy of Bianco Professional Association. They gave an informative presentation of what Bianco does for the Association and snowmobiling as a whole within the state government. Vice President Lucy Ford introduced Dave Gazaway of Allied Insurance. Dave gave an informative presentation regarding our current insurance and a proposed supplemental insurance program. 2
Hillsborough County Director Scot Heath moved that the supplemental program be presented at Presidents Meeting and that we look into adopting it. Strafford County Director Joe Gorman seconded. Motion passed. COMMITTEE REPORT: Advisory Board: Annual Meeting: Assessment Committee: Club Support: Grass Drags: Insurance: Legislative: Map/Trails/WMNF: Membership/PR: Marketing: It is being worked on. No meeting yet. Committee was named as: Chair-NHSA Administrative Assistant Stephanie A. Davis, NHSA Executive Director Dan Gould, NHSA Vice President Lucy Ford, NHSA Treasurer Dan Weed, and Cheshire County Assistant Director Dean Beaman. Hillsborough County Assistant Director Susan Phillips offered to be on it and her offer was gratefully accepted. Things are moving along. Vendors are full. They are looking into getting wifi on site. Club volunteers are coming in. Allied made their presentation. Bianco Professional Association made their presentation. STAC was discussed. Dan Gould will be on that. Super Raffle prizes are set. Lucy asked that the number of tickets be raised to 1250 to allow more clubs to have the opportunity to participate. Sullivan County Director Terry Callum moved to raise the number of tickets to 1250. Rockingham County Director Rob Kennedy seconded. Motion passed. The new contributor/dealer program has launched and businesses are signing up. They are looking into corporate partnerships as well. Nominations: They reported the board is down two assistants and a Contributor/Dealer Director. Registration Program Review: The committee members were named as follows: Captain Dave Walsh, Chief Chris Gamache, NHSA Executive Director Dan Gould, NHSA President Beth Horvath-Palmer, Carroll County Assistant Director Ride-In Search: 3 Lisa Charrette, Cheshire County Director Kim Bergeron, Coos County Assistant Director Charlie Kurtz, Grafton County Director Evelyn Ferrell, Sullivan County Director Terry Callum.
Scholarship: Finance: Reports on investment account. Cheshire County Director Kim Bergeron moved to move $3,000 from the operating account into the UBS investment account to avoid transaction fees. Terry Callum: No meeting. OLD BUSINESS: Attorney General Update: Executive Board will be attending Attorney General training. Then Attorney General will be training the Board of Directors. Membership Program Update: Immediate Past President Roger Wright gave a presentation on the membership program and the options available to the Association moving forward. NEW BUSINESS: Cheshire County Director Kim Bergeron gave a presentation on the TimberSled stating that some of these may be seen out on the trails next season and he feels landowners should be informed as to what they are and how they operate. He brought a TimberSled in to the meeting for everyone to look at if they wished. 4
