ORDINANCE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO: SECTION 1. Section 2-12-010 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language stricken through and by inserting the language underscored, as follows: 2-12-010 Powers and duties. The city clerk shall, in addition to other duties imposed upon him the city clerk by law, perform the following: (Omitted text is unaffected by thi.s ordinance) Administer and enforce the requirements of Chapter 3-56 and other provisions of this Code relating to the wheel tax license emblem, which shall include the authority to issue citations for violations; Administer and enforce the requirements of Section 9-64-090, Section 9-64-170. Section 9-68-020, Section 9-68-021 and other provisions of this Code relating to residential parking permits, which shall include the authority to promulgate rules and regulations and to issue citations for violations; (Omitted text i.s unaffected by this ordinance) SECTION 2. Section 2-12-080 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language stricken through and by inserting the language underscored, as follows: 2-12-080 Deputy city clerk - Appointment - Powers and duties. There is hereby created the office of deputy city clerk. The city clerk shall appoint said deputy city clerk who shall, during the disability or absence ofthe city clerk, have and exercise the powers and duties of the city clerk (except as restricted by law to be exercised by the city clerk only) and shall at all times have and exercise such powers and duties as may be assigned to him the deputy city clerk by the city clerk.

V SECTION 3. Section 3-56-160 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language stricken through and by inserting the language underscored, as follows: 3-56-160 Rules and regulations. The city clerk is authorized to promulgate rules and regulations necessary to implement the requirements of this chapter. Section 9-64-090 and subsection (d) of Section 9-68-020. This chapter and Sections 9-64-090 and 9-68-020 and any rules and regulations promulgated thereunder may be enforced by designated employees of the office of the city clerk. The city clerk shall (1) post on the city clerk's website any rules and regulations promulgated under this chapter; (2) keep a printed copy of such rules and regulations on file in the office of the city clerk; and (3) make such rules and regulations available for public inspection and copying during normal business hours. SECTION 4. Section 9-64-090 ofthe Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by inserting, after subsection (k), the language underscored, as follows: 9-64-090 Residential parking permit. (Omitted text is unaffected by this ordinance) (1) The citv clerk is authorized to promulgate rules and rcrulations necessary to implement subsections (f), (g), (h) and (k) of this section. Such subsections and any rules and regulations promulgated thereunder may be enforced by designated employees of the office of the city clerk. SECTION 5. Section 9-68-020 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by inserting the language underscored, as follows: 9-68-020 Residential parking permits. (Omitted text is unaffected by this ordinance) (k) The city clerk shall have the authority to promulgate rules and regulations necessary to implement the requirements of this section. This section and any rules and regulations promulgated thereunder may be enforced by designated employees of the office of the city clerk.

Section 9-68-021 ofthe Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language stricken through and by inserting the language underscored, as follows: 9-68-021 Sale of residential parking permits. (Omitted text is unaffected by this ordinance) The provisions of this section er and any rules pr regulations promulgated pursuant to this section thereunder may be enforced by investigators of the city clerk's office designated employees of the office of the city clerk or the by members of the police department.
