Wendake, October 12, 2016 Attention of Québec Aboriginal Tourism members NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING Dear members, We are pleased to invite you to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Québec Aboriginal Tourism (QAT) scheduled on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in Odanak. Please note that the AGM will kick off in the morning with two lectures given by our partners on the following topics: KÉROUL AND QUÉBEC ABORIGINAL TOURISM: FOR ACCESSIBILITY IN TOURISM AND CULTURE Recognized by Tourisme Québec as official representatives of their respective sectors, QAT and Kéroul signed a partnership agreement last April focused on developing and acknowledging Aboriginal tourism experiences that are accessible to all. Being a fast-growing industry in Quebec, Aboriginal tourism aims at enabling as many tourists as possible to live experiences rich in traditions and history. Discover Kéroul s mission and see how this collaboration will help develop and implement a business culture based on accessibility for emerging projects and existing experiences in Aboriginal tourism. STRATEGIC INTERVENTIONS FOR ABORIGINAL OUTFITTERS AND AIRMEDIC The Quebec Outfitters Federation has been an important partner of our association for many years. This year, our collaboration has led us to mutually add a new expert support structure for managers and owners of Aboriginal outfitting businesses in Quebec. Diagnosis, support and financing will be provided through this sustainable and authentic project for Quebec s Aboriginal tourism industry. This segment will be followed by a short presentation from Airmedic on their emergency medical services, the only rescue services of this kind currently available in Quebec. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ODANAK COMMUNITY HALL 55, Waban-Aki Street, Odanak Besides being a decision-making platform for members, this meeting gives them the opportunity to learn about the 2015-2016 initiatives and achievements while exploring upcoming projects. It is also a unique chance to network with other stakeholders of the Aboriginal tourism industry in Quebec.
