His sister Alamas was killed by mortars when the Yazidi, an ethnic and religious minority, were forcibly driven from their homes up the barren mountainside of Mt. Sinjar in 2014. Sedra AGE 7, JORDAN MILLIONS OF CHILDREN ARE DISPLACED by war and other threats, in Syria and around the world. They flee their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs, not knowing when or how they ll be able to return.

Sedra is a refugee child. Sedra, 7, loves her pink plastic comb; it reminds her of school days in Syria. She found it on the ground at Za atari Refugee Camp in Jordan, where her family is living after fleeing the conflict in Syria. The camp is crowded, and its streets are plagued by potholes and standing water. All I want is to be with my best friend, says Sedra, who counts the tines in her comb to practice her math skills. I want to go home. Please pray for Sedra, her family, and the other refugee children in their camp. Help children like Sedra by becoming a Refugee Responder. Noor AGE 1, SERBIA MILLIONS OF CHILDREN ARE DISPLACED by war and other threats, in Syria and around the world. They flee their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs, not knowing when or how they ll be able to return.

Noor is a refugee child. Noor is only 1 year old, but he s seen more hardship than many adults. He and his mother and two sisters spent 10 days on the road after escaping Syria, trying desperately to find a way to reunite with Noor s father in Sweden. Noor has never met his father, who went in search of a safer place for his family before Noor was born. Now Noor waits on the border of Serbia, like thousands of other refugees, with no certainty about his future. Please pray for Noor, his family, and other refugee children traveling across borders. Help children like Noor by becoming a Refugee Responder. Seiber AGE 5, IRAQ MILLIONS OF CHILDREN ARE DISPLACED by war and other threats, in Syria and around the world. They flee their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs, not knowing when or how they ll be able to return.

Seiber is displaced from her home. Five-year-old Seiber was forced to leave her home with her extended family all 25 of them. They trekked over barren desert mountains on foot to escape the violence in their hometown. Now their only shelter is a school in Iraq that has allowed refugees to sleep in the classrooms but the school walls may not be enough to stave off the winter cold. Please pray for Seiber, her family, and other displaced children in Iraq. Help children like Seiber by becoming a Refugee Responder. Your $29 monthly gift gives critical daily essentials such as:» Food» Clean water» Education» Health assistance» Shelter» Emergency supplies» Safe places for children to play and learn The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Aaliya AGE 6, LEBANON MILLIONS OF CHILDREN ARE DISPLACED by war and other threats, in Syria and around the world. They flee their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs, not knowing when or how they ll be able to return.

Aaliya is a refugee child. Aaliya, 6, holds her baby sister Amal, trying to soak up what little winter sunlight touches their ragged tent in Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. Their home was in Al-Raqqa, a city that has suffered badly in the Syrian civil war. The girls and their 4-year-old sister Hasna, along with their mother, have been separated from their father. I take good care of them, says Aaliya. I m the eldest, and my father told me to take care of my sisters. Please pray for these three sisters, their mother, and the other children in their refugee camp. Help children like Aaliya and her sisters by becoming a Refugee Responder. Narjes AGE 10, LEBANON MILLIONS OF CHILDREN ARE DISPLACED by war and other threats, in Syria and around the world. They flee their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs, not knowing when or how they ll be able to return.

Narjes is a refugee child. Narjes is 10. Her little brother Ahmad is already 3, but she s strong enough to carry him. In dozens of camps like theirs in Lebanon, Syrian refugees wait and hope for an end to the war, yearning for home. I want to go back to Syria, Narjes says. If I could go back, I would be happy. I would play with my cousins. If the war were over, she says wistfully, I would go to school. Please pray for Narjes and Ahmad, their family, and the other children in their refugee camp. Help children like Narjes and Ahmad by becoming a Refugee Responder. Aiya is a refugee child. Six-year-old Aiya and her siblings are all their mother has left. Aiya s father, a poor laborer, was working on farmland near their home in Syria when he was killed by a rocket blast. His grief-stricken wife and children have fled to Lebanon, where the children wake up screaming in fear. I m terrified for our livelihood, says Aiya s mother. We have nothing. Please pray for Aiya, her family, and other refugee children in Lebanon. Help children like Aiya by becoming a Refugee Responder.
