Developed a sampling strategy and design; selected cases; collected data (state-level immigration legislation and newspaper articles on legislation); developed codebook; coded and analyzed data using NVivo software; lead author of manuscript. 2012 Research Assistant for Kim Ebert. Contributed to the development of Migration in Context: The Effects of Immigrant Receiving Contexts on Mexican Americans ; collected data (newspaper articles); and constructed coding rubric. 2011-2012 Research Assistant for Kim Ebert.
