COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE Main objectives of the Communities of Practice Courses are Enhance skills of people working in the immigration field Define organizational models to be applied in the local communities for a more efficient management of immigration problems Define procedures, tools and protocols to apply when taking migrants into care

CILS CILS (Certification of Italian as a Foreign Language) is an official title which states the level of communicative competence in Italian as a Foreign Language. The CILS certificate is issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena (Italy). Levels of linguistic and communicative competence in Italian, as a second language, are expressed according to the Common European Framework of Reference of Languages of the Council of Europe.

WHY CILS According to the Italian law 94/2009, migrants on the Italian territory who wish to get a residence permit, have to show evidence of their competence in the Italian language by sitting a CILS examination.

APOF-IL EXAMINATION CENTRE Apof-il is a recognized CILS Examination Centre and in 2010 an agreement was drawn up between Apof-il and University for foreigners in SIENA; since then Apof-il has organized Courses of Italian Language for adult and young both EU and non EU migrants with final CILS certification examinations.

PARTNERSHIP Actions have been taken in collaboration with : The Basilicata Region SPRAR SYSTEM (Protection Service for Asylum Seekers and Refugees ) ARCI Basilicata (Italian Cultural and Recreational Association) Municipality of Potenza Ageforma (Counselling and Vocational Training Agency for the Province of Potenza) Fondazione Cittàdella Pace per i Bambini Basilicata

SPRAR SYSTEM -BASILICATA SPRAR Potenza grants cultural mediation services, counselling, health assistance, socio psychological support where needed, counselling, recreational, sport and cultural activities to ensure adequate standards of living and subsistence. Accommodation is provided in flats situated in small villages so as to offer a more homely and welcoming environment and establish a sort of sympathetic welfare system

SPRAR SYSTEM -BASILICATA SPRAR and COMPLEMENTARY CURRENCY Refugees and Migranst have been offered daily pocket money in the form of complementary currency to be spent in the local shops of municipalities that have an agreement with SPRAR Complementary Banknotes Have been designed with a social Meaningfulness of peace and brotherhood among people.
