IDBI Bank Limited INSTRUCTIONS FOR TENDERING 1. Before tendering the Tenderers are requested to visit the site and also carefully examine the Tender Documents, Conditions of Contract, Specifications, the schedules and the Schedule of Quantities, and if there should be or appear to be any ambiguity in or discrepancy between any of these documents they should immediately refer the matter to IDBI Bank Ltd., for clarification. 2. Time is the essence of the contract and the works must be completed within the time schedule as indicated in the Appendix to form of Tender. Any tender which disagrees with the time schedule of completion and stipulates a longer period is liable to be rejected. 3. Access to the Site will be given during the Tender period by appointment on application to The Deputy General Manager, FIMD, Mumbai. The tenderer shall ascertain the location, size and condition of the areas available for his use as working areas and all other information affecting his Tender. 4.(i) The Tenderer shall complete the annexed form of Tender, Schedules and Bill of Quantities with the whole of the prices and information called for therein, and shall sign and date each of the documents in the space provided for the purpose. The Tenderer shall initial each page of the Tender Document. (ii) The Tender shall be signed by a person or persons so authorised by the Tenderer with signature duly witnessed. In the case of a corporation, the Tender shall be signed by the officer so authorised by the corporation with its seal duly affixed. In case of a consortium, the Tender shall be signed by the officer so authorised by each corporate member of the consortium and the Tender shall be affixed with the corporation seals of each member of the consortium. The Bank reserves the right to adjust arithmetical or other errors in any Tender in the way that he considers suitable. Technical Specifications a) Slotted Angles: 40mm X 40mm of 14 Gauge. b) Shelves: Size: 900mm X 450mm of 20 Gauge. Shelves shall be made of 20 Guage CRCA steel conforming to relevant IS code. Its load bearing capacity is 50 Kg UDL per shelf. c) At locations, for any change in the size of slotted angle rack due to site conditions, payment shall be made on prorata basis based on the actual size of slotted angle rack provided. d) Grade of Steel: CRCA Sheet Steel conforming to relevant IS Code. e) Painting finish: The bodies including shelves should be given antirust surface treatment & should be powder coated with epoxy powder.
