Parking: There is plenty of free parking at the Beckman Center. Working Dinner: The committee will hold a working dinner at restaurant Bistango located at 19100 Von Karman Avenue, Irvine, CA; phone: 949-752-5222. More information is available on the restaurant s website: https://bistango.com/. All meeting participants can attend. The Academies can pay for members of the committee and guest speakers. Unfortunately, the Academies cannot pay for federal employees. Cost of the dinner is $50.00. Checks payable to the National Academy of Sciences preferred. Breakfast and Lunch: Available free of charge to all committee members and guests in the refectory at the Beckman Center. Those meeting participants who are ethically bound to pay for these meals can do so if they wish: Breakfast $15.00 and Lunch $16.00. Checks payable to the National Academy of Sciences preferred. Airports: Orange County/John Wayne Airport (SNA) is about 2 miles from both the Beckman Center. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is about 40 miles from the meeting site.
