AIAA provides an overview briefing on various aerospace policies before meeting with members of congress. Past congressional discussions addressed: Workforce and Education, Homeland Security, Access to Space, Technology Validation/Verification, Aerospace Policy Planning & Coordination, National Advisory Committee on Aviation, Air Traffic Management Modernization, Defense Acquisition Reform, and DOD Basic and Applied Research Funding. The Congressional Visits Day is an eye-opening experience and provides AIAA members insight into the workings of Capitol Hill. Judges Needed for 22-24 April 09 Student Paper Conference @ U of Minn. Technical paper judges are needed to support the Annual Student Paper Conference. Paper judging will be via internet exchange and relatively painless. Aerospace Volunteers Needs The St. Louis Air & Space Museum is in need of volunteers to act as docents during normal museum hours (10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Wednesday through Saturday). No experience is necessary, but some knowledge of aerospace history would be a big plus. The job involves greeting visitors to the museum, showing them around the artifact displays in the gallery, escorting them to the aircraft displays in the hangar and outside, as well as opening the museum in the morning and closing and securing the facility at the end of the day.
