HONEOYE CENTRAL SCHOOL BOARD OF EDUCATION RE-ORGANIZATIONAL AND REGULAR MEETING JULY 13, 2016 6:00 PM IN THE LGI Board Members Present: Absent: Andréa Badger, Sandra Hubble, Thomas Mann, James Sykes, and Keith Stumbo-President Jessica Green and Patrick Freivald Others Present: David C. Bills, Superintendent Jennifer Green, District Clerk Barbara Overfield, District Treasurer 0 additional community members/staff/students were present. A quorum was present and notice was posted. Keith Stumbo called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Pledge to the flag was led by Keith Stumbo. Motioned by Thomas Mann, seconded by Sandra Hubble, to nominate Andrea Badger as temporary chair. There were no other nominations. Newly-elected and re-elected Board members sign oath. Jennifer Green administered the Oath of Office to the new and re-elected Board Members. Sandra Hubble James Sykes Andrea Badger called for nominations for Board President. Thomas Mann nominated Keith Stumbo for President, Sandra Hubble seconded the nomination. There were no other nominations. A roll call was taken on the nomination for Board of Education President:

Jennifer Green administered the Oath of Office to Keith Stumbo, 2016-2017 Board of Education President. President Keith Stumbo called for nominations for Board of Education Vice President. Thomas Mann nominated Patrick Freivald for Vice President, Andrea Badger seconded the nomination. Sandra Hubble nominated Andrea Badger for Vice President, James Sykes seconded the nomination. There were no other nominations. 3 votes were cast for Patrick Freivald and 2 votes were cast for Andrea Badger. Patrick Freivald will sign the Oath of Office at a later date. Appointment of District Officers & Officials for 2015-2016: Motioned by Andrea Badger, seconded by Thomas Mann, to appoint the following as District Officers and Officials for the 2016-2017 school year. END OF ORGANIZATIONAL PORTION OF MEETING The regular Board of Education meeting started at 6:27 pm. PUBLIC EXPRESSIONS None KUDOS Sandra Hubble gave kudos to the 5 th grade market day and brought some items that were sold during the market. Keith Stumbo commented that the Class of 2016 Graduation ceremony went well. Thomas Mann stated that the parking lot and tennis courts look great. David C. Bills mentioned the start of Summer Academy and an upcoming Leadership Academy that the administrative team will be attending.

SUPERINTENDENT REPORT Safety Plan - Superintendent David C. Bills briefly reviewed the 2016-2017 Safety Plan and highlighted the updates that were made. He commented that this is the 1 st read of the 2016-2017 Safety Plan which will begin the Public Hearing of the plan. The plan will be brought back to the Board for a final read and recommendation for approval at an August Board of Education Meeting. Code of Conduct - Superintendent David C. Bills briefly reviewed the 2016-2017 Code of Conduct. The 2016-17 Code of Conduct is being presented to the Board as a 1 st read and will be brought back to the Board for approval at an August Board of Education Meeting. This concluded the Superintendent Report section of the meeting. CONSENT AGENDA: Motioned by Thomas Mann, seconded by Andrea Badger, to approve the minutes from the June 8, 2016 regular meeting and the CSE minutes. Motioned by Andrea Badger, second by Sandra Hubble, to approve the April 2016 Treasurer Reports. A comprehensive budget report was provided as information only. PERSONNEL: Upon the recommendation from the Superintendent, David C. Bills, the Board of Education of the Honeoye Central School District accepted the following resignations: Motioned by Andrea Badger, seconded by James Sykes, to accept the following resignations. Patricia Sliker as a Typist effective July 22, 2016. Jeff Orman as the Varsity Golf Coach effective June 30, 2016. Jeff Orman as the JV Tennis Coach effective June 30, 2016. Emily Gray as the Modified Volleyball Coach effective June 30, 2016. Upon the recommendation from the Superintendent, David C. Motioned by Thomas Mann, seconded by Andrea Badger, to mail Certificates of Excellence signed by the Board President and the Superintendent to each of the students that maintained a 95.0 or above average for the 2015-2016 school year. Motioned by Thomas Mann, seconded by Andrea Badger, to increase the substitute pay rate for the following position. Substitute Bus Driver Rate from $12.75 to $14.29 effective July 1, 2016. Motion carried 4 yes -1 no vote by Keith Stumbo Motioned by Andrea Badger, seconded by Thomas Mann, to enter into executive session at 7:03 pm to discuss the employment history of a particular person.

Motioned by Andrea Badger, seconded by Thomas Mann, at 7:42 pm to leave executive session. No action was taken There was a question about the status of the alternative program being piloted at the Secondary School this coming school year. There was a question about the history of enrollment and any rate of change that historically occurs in summer months.
