Page 2 The Cheyenne ROUNDUP December 2012 Terry's Tidbits Friendship Force Members: The year is quickly coming to a close. It has been a memorable one for me ~ my first year as an officer, and the outgoing exchange, the incoming exchange, the Regional Conference, and the annual picnic with Northern Colorado. Lots of things that went on this year. At this time, I would like to thank the officers who served with me what I call my cabinet members. Everyone has been a great help and has done a wonderful job. Thank You! And last but not least, I want to thank my wife Jan for the great help when my computer would not cooperate. She stepped in several times and got me out of a jam. I have gone through many frustrations with my computer. I am hoping to have a positive year in 2013. We have our new web site that should be beneficial. I am sure that David Larsen put a lot of time and effort into developing this web site. And for that I want to thank him for all of us. Hope to see you all at the Plains Hotel on the 10th of December. If not, we'll see you at our January meeting. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! In Friendship, Terry

Page 3 The Cheyenne ROUNDUP December 2012 TREASURER REPORT December 10, 2012 There will be a Treasurer s Report published on a Quarterly basis, in conjunction with the Board meetings. December 2012 The Cheyenne ROUNDUP Page 4 NOVEMBER 12, 2012 GENERAL MEETING MINUTES Thirty members and two guests met at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Community Room for a sumptuous buffet pot luck dinner followed by the business meeting. President Terry Udell called the meeting to order with a reminder that the Dues for 2013 and the Christmas Dinner Meeting fees are now due at this meeting. He then asked for a motion to approve the amended Bylaws. A motion was made by Ross Perry, seconded by Howard Last, to approve the Bylaws amendments. Motion carried. The newly amended Bylaws will be distributed to all members for insertion in their Directories at the January14 meeting. President Terry announced that our Newsletter Editor David Larsen has developed a web site for the Cheyenne Club: www.friendshipforcecheyenne.org The web site will be linked to the Friendship Force International web site and will include our Newsletter, Monthly Meeting Minutes, Treasurers Report, Dates for upcoming General and Board Meetings. Terry commended David for an excellent job on the Newsletters as well as his development of our new club web site. Treasurer Loretta Humphrey requested that all invoices be first given to the President for sign-off approval before payment. Nominating Committee Chairman Judy Eatmon announced the names of the current officers on the ballot for 2013 and asked if there were any nominations from the Floor to be added. There were none. The names submitted for Secretary were John Kaiser and Helen Lovett.

December 2012 The Cheyenne ROUNDUP Page 5 Ballot results for the 2013 officers are: President ~ Terry Udell Vice President ~ Tim Bolin Secretary ~ Helen Lovett Treasurer ~ Loretta Humphrey President Terry congratulated Tim Bolin for his successful election to the Laramie County School Board. Jim Webber gave a brief update on the progress of their new home with the possibility that he and Carolyn might be able to move in around Thanksgiving. Judy Greenberg of the Long Island NY FFI Club told about the devastation from the Sandy storm. Although she was without power for ten days, her home escaped damage. Our club received an inquiry from the Friendship Force Florida Suncoast Club near Tampa for an exchange with our club next year. It was pointed out that our club has exchanged with that area of Florida twice in the last several years. There was no interest from the members, so President Terry will reply to their club that we cannot do an exchange with them at this time. Vice President Tim Bolin reported on his contacts with the Seattle/ Tacoma and Oregon clubs and will pursue an outgoing exchange from our club in the Fall of 2013. There was discussion as to which club in the northwest would be the most desirable. Sixteen members expressed interest in this possible exchange. Meeting adjourned at 8:10 PM.
