Sherman Guyton received a majority of the votes cast for the office of Mayor and is declared elected to that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in November 2014.

2. Cynthia Toles received a majority of the votes cast for the office of Council Member for District One and is declared elected to that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in November, 2014. 3. Deverick Williams received a majority of the votes cast for the office of Council Member for District Two and is declared elected to that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in November, 2014. 4. Thomas Earl Worthy received a majority of the votes cast for the office of for District Three and is declared elected to that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in November, 2014. 5. Robert (Bob) Echols received a majority of the votes cast for the office of Council M ember for District Four and is declared elected to that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in November, 2010. 6. No candidate received a majority of the votes cast for the office of Council Member for District Five. Billy F. Billingsley, Sr. and Bill C. Stewart received the most and the second most votes cast for that office. Therefore, a runoff election is hereby ordered to be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, pursuant to the requirements of Section 11-46-20 et seq., Ala. Code 1975. 7. Johnny Cannon received a majority of the votes cast for the office of Council M ember for District Six and is declared elected to that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in November, 2014. 8. Ben Reed received a majority of the votes cast for the office of for District Seven and is declared elected to that office for the term beginning on the first Monday in November, 2014. 9. The Referendum to allow the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-premises and offpremises consumption seven days a week received a majority of Yes votes cast. Therefore, pursuant to the local Legislative Act which enabled the referendum, the City s governing body will hereinafter enact by ordinance policies appropriate to regulate the sale of alcoholic beverages for seven days a week. I certify that the City Council of the City of Gadsden, Alabama, duly adopted this resolution at an open public meeting held on September 2, 2014.
