Last Update: 08 April 2017 The circular for the control of yellow fever indicates that, at the time tickets are purchased, airlines have the obligation to inform travelers the areas at risk of yellow fever in Colombia or abroad. Airlines must also inform if they must be vaccinated against yellow fever, and must warn that the vaccination certificate may be required when doing the check in or when boarding. Currently, the departments in Colombia with highest risk of yellow fever are Amazonas, Caqueta, Casanare, Chocó, Guainia, Guaviare, Meta, Putumayo, Vaupés and Vichada. The vaccine should be applied from 12 months of age, and in the rest of the country from 18 months old.
