Peters Township l School District CALL TO ORDER PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ROLL CALL SUPERINTENDENT S COMMENTS AGENDA PETERS TOWNSHIP BOARD OF SCHOOL DIRECTORS SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY, JULY 11, 2017 AT 7:00 PM DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION OFFICES QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS FROM THE FLOOR (Peters Township School District Policy 903) Peters Township School District values parent and community engagement. Speakers listed on the agenda will be allotted a maximum of five (5) minutes for public comment. Speakers not listed on this agenda will be allotted a maximum of two (2) minutes for public comment. Part of our communication effort involves taping and sharing videos of our Board meetings to help our community stay informed on matters before the Board. VIII. OTHER RECOMMENDATION: Consider a motion to approve other recommendations as follows: 1. Accept a National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) Grant submitted by IU1 and funded by the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation in the amount of $12,500.00. This grant will be used to offset the cost of NMSI professional development for teachers. 2. Approve the settlement and resolution of a special education due process matter, 19342-1617KE, on terms and conditions approved by the Solicitor. 3. Approve an Agreement with the Carnegie Science Center s Teaching Excellence Academy for K-6 STEM professional development and related activities at a cost not to exceed $10,000.00. This Agreement will be funded through our Title IV-Part A grant award.
