BREAKING THE GLASS CEILING AWARDS NOMINATION FORM Do you know a business/employer that exemplifies the values of empowering women, eliminating racism, promoting peace, justice, liberty and equity for all, and whose contributions to society need recognition? The YWCA of Bethlehem is accepting nominations for the Breaking the Glass Ceiling Awards for businesses/ employers that operate in the Lehigh Valley. The criteria is simple! Tell us about a business/employer that best personifies the ideals above, and leads by example through its business and/or employment hiring practices, that would be a worthy role model for others. Everyone has a story; tell us your nominee s story. A letter of recommendation that gives testimony to a longstanding committment to these ideals should be included with your nomination. Along with the letter of recommendation, please attach any business/employer statistical data, articles, awards or other documentation of the nominee s accomplishments and charitable works. Nomination Process FAQs What characteristics and accomplishments are you looking for in a Breaking the Glass Ceiling Award Candidate? - /Employer Policy that promotes diversity in the workplace; - A significant presence of women, minorities and/or persons with disabilities in management level positions; - Pay Equity for all employees; - Exemplifying the ideals of Breaking the Glass Ceiling on a consistent basis and for a period of at least 5 years. The nominees will be selected from all of the applications to be represented on the official ballot. The nominees will be voted on and selected by the Sponsorship Committee. Recipients will be notified in late August and will be honored at the Gala. The Breaking the Glass Ceiling Gala is being held on October 27, 2012 at the event center at blue.
