Who should cooperate? Local government: framework, promotion, support, infrastructure Qualities: nature, culture, heritage, cuisine Tourism industry: tour operators, hotels, restaurants, attractions etc. but also product

How to cooperate? How to make local authorities, public institutions, enterpreneurs, NGO's, local communities trust each other and work together? Destination marketing organization (DMO) or convention and visitors bureau (CVB) is an organization that promotes a town, city, region, or country in order to increase the number of visitors. It promotes the development and marketing of a destination, focusing on convention sales, tourism marketing, and services [source: wikipedia.org].

Poznań Convention Bureau main implementer of tourism for Poznań Metropolitan Area Cooperation with local administration and tourism industry Main tasks: integration of local communities and self governments with tourist industry, creation of local tourist products (from idea to development and promotion), gathering data about tourist attractions and products, running local tourist information centres.

Towards DMO strategic planning In order to create program a working group should be established, which will determine the key indicators of tourism development, general policy and expenditures for the development of this policy (Tcharkhalasvili, Gulua 2010). Very important the City Hall has to create a networking able to diffuse the reputation and tourist offers of the city (Tourism Development Strategy... 2010).
