Admission Process October Term: 1.5-year Course April Term: 2-year Course March~April 30 September 1 ~ October 31 1Submission of application documents The required documents and the application fee 30,000Yen should be sent to the Academy by express and registered mail or EMS no later than the deadline. The application fee is non-refundable. Early May 2Selection by the Academy Early November Successful applicants are selected by the Academy on the basis of the application documents submitted. The appropriate applicants are notified of the results. The required documents for successful students are submitted to the immigration bureau by the Academy. Original documents, such as diploma, are returned to the unsuccessful applicants. Middle of June 3Application for the approval of qualification for stay Middle of December The successful applicants documents are submitted to the immigration bureau by the Academy to apply for their approval of qualification for stay. Late August 4Notice from the immigration bureau about the application result Late February The Academy will be notified from the immigration bureau about the application results. Late August 5Notice to the successful applicants about the examination result Late February The successful candidates will be notified by the Academy about the examination result by fax, telephone, etc. * If the Academy receives the approval certificate from the immigration bureau, the certificate will be sent to the successful candidates by fax. * If not, the notice of the result and the original documents including diploma will be returned to the applicants.
Early September 6Remit the school expenses Early March Those who received the certificate by fax are advised to wire transfer the school expenses (the entrance fee and course fee) to the Academy s bank account no later than the prescribed date (see below for bank details). Middle of September Middle of March 7Forward the certificate of approval of the qualification for stay Promptly upon the confirmation of receipt of the school expenses, the certificate from the immigration bureau and the documents necessary to receive a visa will be sent to the appropriate applicants. Middle of September Middle of March 8Apply for a visa in Japanese Embassy or Consulate The successful applicants are required to submit their passport, the certificate from the immigration bureau, and the admission letter to Japanese Embassy or Consulate in their home country to apply for a visa. Early October 9Visit Japan Early April Be sure to give notify before you leave your country. (Same A/C No. as above) After receiving authorization from the Japanese immigration authorities to stay in Japan, in the event that the student is unable to obtain a proper visa from the Japanese embassy or consulate in his or her country or the student decides not to join the Academy, Kasuga Japanese Language Academy, in accordance with guidelines by the Association for the Promotion of Japanese Language Education will refund all money received from the student except for the application and entrance fees. However, the student will be required to send the stay authorization permit and school entrance permit to the Academy before the refund can be made.
Application Documents * Each of the certificates will be held for 3 months from the date of receipt. * All certificates and explanatory statements prepared in the applicants native language should be accompanied by a Japanese translation. On the translation, be sure to fill in the translator s address, name, signature, and contact-number. * After the selection by the Academy, the original copies of the application documents of successful applicants will be sent to the immigration bureau following. Therefore, you should take the copy of those application documents beforehand and keep them by yourself. * All of the certificates must be issued on official letter paper in which the group name, address and contact number are imprinted. And on the certificate, be sure to fill in the name, signature, and contact-number of the representative and the person who issued the certificate. A. Documents to be prepared by the applicant: 1 10 photos, 4 3cm, taken within the last 3 months. The applicants nationality and name should be written on the back of each photo. You don t need to attach them to the application form. 2 The application for admission (the Academy s prescribed form) 3 Resume (the Academy s prescribed form) 4 The original of diploma or an equivalent certificate from the last school attended 5 Transcript from the last school attended(all results during attendance at school being specified) 6 Certificate of attendance issued by the appropriate language school (for those who previously attended a Japanese language school) * Those who have taken a Japanese proficiency test must attach a copy of the certificate and notice of test result. 7 Medical certificate (the Academy s prescribed form) * The medial examination must be taken within the last 3 months. 8 Employment or retirement certificate (for those with any work experience) * Period of service and duties should be stated. 9 A graduation possibility certificate or a student registration certificate (for those who are in high school, university etc.) A unit acquisition certificate or a certificate of your registration(for those who dropped out) * Period of enrollment and the name of department and course should be stated. 10 Written Oath (the Academy s prescribed form) 11 A copy of passport (Cover and all pages with any official records. Not required for those without a passport up to the date of application) * A copy of all passport pages with embarkation/disembarkation stamps and visas for those who ever made a trip abroad. 12 A graduation set photograph * The documents to be filled out must be handwritten by the applicants.
