Currently, an Expression of Interest is being drafted as it pertains to these recently announced grants. M. Thomsen indicated that he has been working with T. Malcolm identified four key questions to be answered in the Expression of Interest, and asked for feedback from the Committee for additional content to indicate how an Indigenous Cultural Centre would accomplish each question. - Cultural Awareness o Sustained change through political advocacy; o Serve as a clearing house for education; o Identification of resources. A. Malcolm will connect with T. Pace Crosschild, T. Tallow, A. Scout, R. Pogorzelski, K. Jo Rabbit, L. Sallof regarding the LISN Community Guide and suggestions. - Economic Benefits o A self-sustainable business model, include a kitchen and/or event space; o Work with local development/training organizations to manage/train. - Environmental Benefits o A reintegration of native plants and medicines, with information on use. - Social Benefits o S. Webber will get together with a few key individuals to complete a paragraph for this section. A.
