Soror Cathy Walker-Murray 1 st Vice President 1. 200+ Sorors attended the Reclamation Sunday event on Sunday, January 13th at 9 churches across the Chicago area. 2. 7 sorors were nominated for the 2019 Extra Mile Award. 3. March is Sisterhood Month and on March 30th, Membership Services will host a Game Day at D Estee. Light refreshments will be served. Event is 2p 5p Soror Cheryl Matthews 1. Sorors Nancy Pittman & Dr. Dushon Brown Delta Dears 1. The Committee distributed Holiday greeting cards during the month of December. 2. Implementation of Pals- The Committee seeks volunteers to serve as Delta Dear Pals, to conduct wellness checks for Delta Dears, who are in need of engagement and companionship. 3. Valentine s Day Luncheon- The Committee will sponsor a luncheon February 9 th at D Estee, 12p 2p. 4. Meeting Day/Time - The Committee will meet the second Thursdays of the month at 6:00 p.m. The meeting place will be announced on the calendar. Soror Jerri Edwards 1. Encourage Sorors to sign up for the dfree Billion Dollar Paydown and walk sorors through the steps to sign up. Economic Development 2. Remind Sorors that the Committee is taking names for the Delta Red Business Directory and hopefully show them how to access the form via the website. 3. Update Sorors about the Money Smart and Savvy national initiative. Sorors Faune Neal Evans and Oteal Wyatt Gilmore Founders Day 1. Founders Day 2019 over 720 sorors attended; Thank you to the Chapter and Founders Day Committee 2. Founders Day 2020 three dates available: Jan 11 Jan 18 Feb 1 Soror Oteal Wyatt Gilmore moved to accept the Exec Board recommendation to hold the FD 2020 on Jan 18 with Soror Jazzkia Jones 2 nd VOTE: Total 65, Yes 55 No 10, Motion approved Sorors Stacy Mixon, Pat Cox-Stanley & Rachel Brumfield-Thomas Fundraising 1.Holiday Party Fundraiser with D Estee. Report final number to the chapter at $5,200.95. 2. Paint and Sip will be held Feb 23 rd, 2019 at D Estee from 2-6p.m. Cost $40 per person and capacity at 50. Soror Angelica London will be our facilitator. 4

3. Spring Step Show to be held April 27, 2019 at CVS High School. We need all hands-on deck for various committees. We will have sign ups sheets. Soror Charlotte Lyles 1.Delta Days at the UN: 1-2 committee members will attend and report back to the chapter. Int l Awareness & Involvement 2.Committee Chair and perhaps 1-2 committee members will attend the Germany Alumnae chapter s 40th anniversary celebration in Stuttgart, Germany the weekend of April 26. We will participate in their service project - making pillowcase dresses for girls in Haiti and Swaziland. We will collect new and very gently used colorful pillowcases at the February-April chapter meetings. Soror Tierra Winston Pan Hellenic Sankofa Awards Sat Feb 23 rd, 12p 4p Doubletree Alsip, tickets $60 (CAC to sell five (5) tickets); those with 50 yrs. of service to be honored; need all names submitted and purchase tickets to attend Sorors Jantelle Horton and Jetaun Deberry Physical & Mental Health 1. Count it: A Soror with the most steps will be recognized during chapter meeting with a gift card: Jan: Tracy Davis, Darlene Pollard, Jelanta Washington. Sorors will be encouraged to sign up for the Chapters move initiative by joining count.it Chicago Deltas team. 2. Stop, Start Continue: Information regarding initiative will be presented. Sorors will be encouraged to sign up with a buddy soror. We will also ask Sorors to take a picture with the soror they selected at the selfie booth (near Physical & Mental Health Table) 3. Shea Butter: Encourage sorors to purchase @ $10. Sign-up sheet will be available 4. Just Move Activity: Sorors will be encouraged to attend the Just Move Activity on 2/2 (Yoga 2:30p-4:30p) 5. Go Red Event: Fashion Show at Ford City Mall on 2/10. Will also encourage Sorors to wear Red on 2/1 and to post on social media with hashtag #GoRED #DST 5

Sorors Jennifer Reed and Melanie Stewart 1. The CAC has been directed by the Midwest Scholarship and Standards Representative to accept the feedback provided on November 18, 2018, via email and implement the revisions, edits, as well as insert verbiage in required sections of the template. Policies & Procedures 2. By the direction of the Midwest Scholarship and Standards Representative, the feedback provided is final and a Chapter vote will not be conducted. 3. The Policies and Procedures Committee will make a PowerPoint presentation illustrating the substantive changes. Additionally, we will inform the membership of the next CAC Call for Amendments in Nov 2019, so members can submit proposed changes. Soror Cynthia Cuyjet for Soror Angelica London Rhythm The Rhythm team is having its first meeting on February 1st at 6pm at D'Estee in the main meeting room. If you are interested in joining the team or learning more, please come out or send an email with a message expressing interest at rhythm.dstchicagoalum@gmail.com! Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. It's time to see CAC on stages showcasing the talents that we know we possess. Sorors Mary Moss and Marla Vanderbilt 1. Chicago Public School application process Updated current list is available; includes South/South-West and Far South (schools south of 55 th/ Garfield Park and west of Western Avenue). Application due date is March 1, 2019. Scholarship 2. Rosemary Jackson Scholarship Finalization pending donor s confirmation of terms of agreement. By direction of the Committee add $4K from funds donated by CAC sorors, add to that $4K, to give the recipient $2K annually VOTE: total 68; Yes 68 No 0, Motion approved 3. Chapter current scholarship obligation and available funds Period 2018 to 2022 current obligated balance is $38,500. The committee awaits financial report of available funds for determination of amount to distribute to new recipients. VOTE: Total 70; Yes 69 No 1, Motion approved 6

Sorors Necole K. Muhammad & Dr. Sharon Latiker 1. Destination 22 Sorors can give their funds ($22) to the Finance team at the January & February s Chapter Meeting to meet the Feb 23, 2019 deadline. Social Action 2. DDNC- March 9-12, 2019. Registration ends February 15 th Appointments will take place on March 12 th with Officials. DDUN -March 21-22, 2019 3. DDSC Springfield IL April 9th 4. Election Update January 22 nd Deputy Registrar Class Update held at D Estee, **Mayoral Forum February 16, 2019, 10a 12p, Altgeld Gardens Carver Park (three (3) communities). UNFINISHED BUSINESS None NEW BUSINESS None ANNOUNCEMENTS 1. Prayer is available to those in need by the Chaplains Council. The Council will offer prayer for anyone in need during Chapter Meeting. There is a prayer box on the table in the back for anonymous requests/praise reports and situational prayers available for taking. 2. If you did not get your FD Souvenir, please see Soror Carron Woods 3. The Old School HBCU Party & Scholarship Celebrations UNCF and their HBCU Partners will have a celebration to raise money for their scholarships at Harrah s Casino in Joliet; Sat Feb 16, 2019 6p 10p. This will include honoring Soror Aretha Franklin. Tickets $100 contact Soror Belvia Strickland. 4. Drop Off Collection of non-perishable Food Drive for those affected by the gov t shutdown. Sat 1/26 Raven s Place, 13035 S. Western Avenue 3p 10p and Sun 1/27 The Family Den Lounge, 8942 S. Stony Island, 3p 10p; items to be distributed via Life Center COGIC food dispensary 5500 S Indiana. 5. A College Preparation Workshop sponsored by Delta GEMS & EMBODI will be held Sun Feb 17, 2p 5p at Urban Prep Academy for Young Men in Bronzeville and volunteers are needed to assist with the workshops.
