Sorors Nancy Pittman & Dr. Dushon Brown Delta Dears 1. The Committee distributed Holiday greeting cards during the month of December. 2. Implementation of Pals- The Committee seeks volunteers to serve as Delta Dear Pals, to conduct wellness checks for Delta Dears, who are in need of engagement and companionship. 3. Valentine s Day Luncheon- The Committee will sponsor a luncheon February 9 th at D Estee, 12p 2p. 4. Meeting Day/Time - The Committee will meet the second Thursdays of the month at 6:00 p.m. The meeting place will be announced on the calendar. Soror Jerri Edwards 1. Encourage Sorors to sign up for the dfree Billion Dollar Paydown and walk sorors through the steps to sign up. Economic Development 2. Remind Sorors that the Committee is taking names for the Delta Red Business Directory and hopefully show them how to access the form via the website. 3. Founders Day 2019 over 720 sorors attended; Thank you to the Chapter and Founders Day Committee 2. 3. Spring Step Show to be held April 27, 2019 at CVS High School. We need all hands-on deck for various committees. We will have sign ups sheets. Int l Awareness & Involvement 2.Committee Chair and perhaps 1-2 committee members will attend the Germany Alumnae chapter s 40th anniversary celebration in Stuttgart, Germany the weekend of April 26. We will participate in their service project - making pillowcase dresses for girls in Haiti and Swaziland. We will collect new and very gently used colorful pillowcases at the February-April chapter meetings. Soror Tierra Winston Pan Hellenic Sankofa Awards Sat Feb 23 rd, 12p 4p Doubletree Alsip, tickets $60 (CAC to sell five (5) tickets); those with 50 yrs. of service to be honored; need all names submitted and purchase tickets to attend Sorors Jantelle Horton and Jetaun Deberry Physical & Mental Health 1. Count it: A Soror with the most steps will be recognized during chapter meeting with a gift card: Jan: Tracy Davis, Darlene Pollard, Jelanta Washington. Sorors will be encouraged to sign up for the Chapters move initiative by joining count.it Chicago Deltas team. 2. Stop, Start Continue: Information regarding initiative will be presented. Sorors will be encouraged to sign up with a buddy soror. We will also ask Sorors to take a picture with the soror they selected at the selfie booth (near Physical & Mental Health Table) 3. Shea Butter: Encourage sorors to purchase @ $10. Sign-up sheet will be available 4. Just Move Activity: Sorors will be encouraged to attend the Just Move Activity on 2/2 (Yoga 2:30p-4:30p) 5. Go Red Event: Fashion Show at Ford City Mall on 2/10. Will also encourage Sorors to wear Red on 2/1 and to post on social media with hashtag #GoRED #DST 5

The CAC has been directed by the Midwest Scholarship and Standards Representative to accept the feedback provided on November 18, 2018, via email and implement the revisions, edits, as well as insert verbiage in required sections of the template. Policies & Procedures 2. By the direction of the Midwest Scholarship and Standards Representative, the feedback provided is final and a Chapter vote will not be conducted. 3. The Policies and Procedures Committee will make a PowerPoint presentation illustrating the substantive changes. Additionally, we will inform the membership of the next CAC Call for Amendments in Nov 2019, so members can submit proposed changes. Chapter current scholarship obligation and available funds Period 2018 to 2022 current obligated balance is $38,500. The Old School HBCU Party & Scholarship Celebrations UNCF and their HBCU Partners will have a celebration to raise money for their scholarships at Harrah s Casino in Joliet; Sat Feb 16, 2019 6p 10p. This will include honoring Soror Aretha Franklin. Tickets $100 contact Soror Belvia Strickland. 4. Drop Off Collection of non-perishable Food Drive for those affected by the gov t shutdown. A College Preparation Workshop sponsored by Delta GEMS & EMBODI will be held Sun Feb 17, 2p 5p at Urban Prep Academy for Young Men in Bronzeville and volunteers are needed to assist with the workshops.
