Rolling Thunder, Inc. Illinois Chapter One General Membership Meeting Minutes May 2 nd, 2012 The Rolling Thunder Inc. Illinois Chapter Meeting of May 2nd, 2012 was called to order by President Bill Sharpness at 19:30 at the VFW in Warrenville, IL. The membership pledged allegiance to the American Flag and had a moment of silence for the Five Illinois POW/MIA s that went missing during the Vietnam War, and are still missing in the month of May, 2012. Mission Statement was read by Vice President Dominic Ruggerio. Board Member 38 of 74 adult members were in attendance. Additionally there were _1_ guest. President- Bill Sharpness (Hawk) Reviewed the importance of all members attending Chapter Events. Read through the upcoming Chapter events in June and expectation is for as many members as possible to attend all four events. Hawk will be in Charge of setting route for BTR and is open for input. Wolfe was made main POC of the Memorial Day Ride to Washington DC. There will also be a small group riding as far as Raenal for the ride and then returning to Chicago.

Turned over the floor to Phil Ferrer to present July 4 th parade opportunity in Hoffman Estates. We have been asked to take the Lead in the parade. Someone from the Board would have to be assigned to work closely with the Parade Committee to plan the event. They would also like for us to Perform the Remembrance Table at the end point of the parade. We could invite other organizations under our umbrella. Motion was made to the General population after a show of hands who would support the event. Motion was seconded and approved. Doug M. (skippy) was given the floor to outline the shirt ordering project like was done last year. Members were asked to email him directly at roofmedic@msan.com if they are interested in buying a shirt. Vice President-Dominic Ruggerio (Hard Core) Informed members that grant application was made and we are waiting for response. The grant would be used to purchase more Self Contained Bathing systems for the LaSalle Veterans home. Treasurer s Report - Jim Murray (Snipe) Review of Chapter Financials was made. Communicated that the Bike we are Raffling off for BTR has already been paid for. The Self Contained Bathing system being donated to the LaSalle Veterans home has also been paid for at this point. All of the Guns being Raffled off at the Gun Bash have been paid for. Secretary s Report - Tony Leone (Clutch) - Excused Chairman of the Board- Richard Montgomery (Popeye)

An update of where we are at on Bike Raffle Tickets was given. We still have a lot of tickets to sell and should not be waiting until the last minute to sell them. Board Member-Kristina Sedlacek (Kriss) Reviewed Gun Bash weekend at Fox River Harley taking place the same weekend as the Harley Birthday bash. There will be a lot of people there and parking could be a problem. Handed out and reviewed flyer for the La Salle Veterans Home run on June 2 nd. Communicated progress on Bir Thunder Run planning. Time to start working on this now. Communicated the decision on the country Music Band. Membership was in agreement that it was time for a change. Name of the Band is Bad Country roads. Board Member-Richy Zayat (Father Guido Board Member Chuck Kimber (Boat Sides) Board Member Bill Atkinson (Fall Out) Reminded all members that new Bowe Billboard was going up on 5/7 near North Avenue. Board Member-Dennis Reiter (LT)

Board Member-Bill Houghtaling (B.B.) Gave Status on Gun Bash Raffle All guns for both main raffle and side raffle have been picked out. Reviewed what the process would be like the day of the event. Asked for volunteers to contact him to perform specific jobs the day of the event. Event will take place form 1 to 5pm on June 23 rd. Lookng for an announcer to read off winners of the raffles. Need to different people to oversee each of the raffles taking place. One over the main raffle and one over the side raffles. Need record keeper for both raffles. One more General Meeting before the event. At the next meeting we will finalize people s jobs who volunteer. Secretary Rob Leskovar Reviewed Tonight s attendance sheet and asked for members to update Home Address, Email Address, and phone numbers. We currently have 7 sets of patches outstanding. Their names are listed below and we will continue to try to locate them and collect patches or dues. Asked for current members who may have any information on these people to pass along so that we can get these patches back as soon as possible.
