This is a state level issue, not federal. 6 Do you believe the Equal Access to Justice Act (EAJA) passed to help disabled veterans is being properly applied by environmental groups suing over environmental issues? And the Gov needs to stop allowing the misapplication of the EAJA and return to the original intent of helping the ''small-guy'' 7 Do you see environmental protections as a necessity that takes precedence over human rights? Absolutely NOT! This falls under UN Agenda 21/2030 and their attempts to push the New World Order/Globalism agenda 8 Do you subscribe to the theory that Oregon's human activity has an impact on carbon emissions affecting global warming? Absolutely NOT! Even though US immigration needs some updating i.e. chain migration. However, I also believe the fed gov must stop with the federal funds if the programs are best left to the states. 25 Do you support spending public funds to benefit illegal aliens? NARRATIVE QUESTIONS The following questions will not appear in the Candidate Comparison Guide, but will be included in your Individual Candidate Guide. 43 What do you consider your strengths for evaluating what is in the best interest of Oregon and the country without prejudice? Every action I will take will be based upon the role of Congress according to the Constitution. If a bill contains provisions, rules, regulations giving the federal government or its agencies authority which is not a Constitutionally listed power, I will vote against it. I believe the Constitution is clear when it comes to States powers. Oregon must have a Representative who will work to give those powers back to the States. This is part of the Oath of Office, which I will take seriously and will make sure every vote I make, every bill I author, or co-sponsor does not cause me to violate that Oath. 44 How would you propose screening war refugees to prevent potential terrorists from entering the country with them? 1. Find out what skills they possess, what are their plans upon arriving in the U.S. 2. Family details - who are they 3. Interview with psychologist or another professional who is an expert in identifying traits displayed or other markers unique to known terrorists 4. Limit the ''chain'' migration. 5. Confirm they are indeed true refugees. We are not hard hearted people, and we want to offer refuge for those who truly need it and do not have ill intent towards the U.S. or her citizens. 45 If you were writing a bill on gun rights, what are the two main issues you would include? state or local jurisdiction can take away the right of citizens to keep and bare arms. Felons with no history of violence, who have served their time, may apply to have their right to gun ownership restored, for example, Dinesh D'Souza was convicted of a non-violent crime.
