Executive Summary Lay of the Land Public transportation is one of the least concerning issue to the general public: Public transportation s level of concern is likely related to the fact that approximately half of the respondents indicate that they never use public transportation or haven t used it within the last year. Less than one-fifth of the (16%) are frequent users of public transportation (use it at least once a week). Despite public transportation being a lower concern, a large majority (86%) support their tax dollars going toward public transportation expansion and improvement and more than half (56%) think the level of spending for public transportation improvement should increase.
