Several payment options are available to the retirees, including payments made from their IMRF and payments made via personal checks. In addition, several situations can occur which result in different costs to the employee. Those retirees and/or dependents under the age of 65 pay a higher cost since the county is the primary carrier. Those retirees and/or dependents over the age of 65 pay a lesser cost since social security is the primary carrier. The Finance Committee is currently reviewing the cost structure. Mr. Heidbreder moved to table the above monthly payment of funds for medical insurance for further review by the Finance Committee. Mr. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion to table the above monthly payment of funds for medical insurance for further review by the Finance Committee adopted.
