They proposed that Student Senate support a proposal to schedule all finals Monday- Thursday of finals week. Currently there are only two exams scheduled on the Friday of finals weeks. Dr. Edwards explained that this new process could easily be done without affecting student final times, contact hours, or workloads, and with very few scheduling conflicts. The same rules would apply as they do now. For example, if a student had three or more finals in one day they could still reschedule for Friday. This new process would leave Fridays open for students, allow students to leave earlier in the week, and give faculty a full day to prepare and submit grades.
