RESOLUTION 2017-157 TRANSFERRING SEWER PAYMENT POSTED IN ERROR FROM BLOCK 178, LOT 12 TO BLOCK 177, LOT 12 WHEREAS, the owner of Block 177 Lot 12, 205 Swedes Run Drive made a payment on April 24, 2017 in the amount of $387.26 in cash for Block 177 Lot 12 but the account that was accessed was Block 178 Lot 12, 206 Swedes Run Drive and the balance due on that account was paid and a printout given as a receipt; and WHEREAS, because the payment was posted erroneously to Block 178 Lot 12, 206 Swedes Run Drive the owner of Block 177 Lot 12, 205 Swedes Run Drive, received notice of tax sale; and WHEREAS, when the owner of Block 177 Lot 12 looked at the receipt he was given for his payment of $387.26, he realized the printout was for Block 178 Lot 12; and WHEREAS, the property owner has come in with the receipt he was given and has asked that the payment be moved to the correct address, Block 177 Lot 12, 205 Swedes Run Drive. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Delran that the payment of $387.26 received on April 24, 2017 in the amount of $387.26 shall be moved from the sewer account for Block 178 Lot 12 to Block 177 Lot 12. RESOLUTION 2017-158 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) FORD F350 EXTENDED CAB 4WD PICKUP TRUCKS UNDER STATE CONTRACT T-2101 EXPIRATION DATE 3/18/2018 WHEREAS, the Township of Delran desires to purchase items as follows through State Contract: VENDOR: Chas S. Winner Inc. DBA Winner Ford 250 Haddonfield-Berlin Road Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 VENDOR #: 88758 ITEMS: Two (2) Ford F350 Extended Cab 4WD Pickup Trucks TOTAL COST: $ 54,138.00 WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified in writing that the funds are available. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Township Council of the Township of Delran does herby authorizes the purchase of the specified items under State Contract. BURLINGTON COUNTY RESOLUTION 2017-159 APPROVING TOTALLY DISABLED VETERAN EXEMPTION BLOCK 74, LOT 4 WHEREAS, the property owner of Block 74 Lot 4, 19 Pancoast Blvd in the Township of Delran has applied for a totally disabled veteran exemption and has filled out the correct forms and provided the documentation necessary for the Tax Assessor; and WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor has determined that as per N.J.S.A. 54:4-3:30 et seq.; L1948 c259 as amended, that the resident has met the requirements to qualify for the totally disabled veteran exemption; and WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor has also determined that the exemption was to be effective as of April 3, 2017; and WHEREAS, that taxes should be cancelled for the August 2017 quarter in the amount of $1,945.51, the November 2017 quarter in the amount of $1,945.50, the February 2018 quarter in the amount of $1,916.28 and the May 2018 quarter in the amount of $1,916.27 for a total of $7,723.56 to be cancelled. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Township Council of the Township of Delran that the cancellation of taxes as outlined above is hereby approved BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution will be given to the Tax Collector, Tax Assessor and Treasurer.
