Please RSVP as we have been held to rooms A and B at, not all three- I looked at evite and we are currently at about 60, so please help us to set-up the room with the proper amount of seats! The Forum is timely in that it will present the potential drilling plans of operators that participate. As a backdrop to this we have the recent TAPS shutdown due to a leak at Pump Station One. This underscores the importance of continued development of Alaska resources to maintain what is in my opinion world class infrastructure on the North Slope and in the Cook Inlet areas. I am also happy to say that an AADE Scholarship Committee has been busy developing a new Scholarship application which will be sent out soon to Engineering Departments at UAF as well as Alaska High Schools for graduating seniors that are interested in pursuing a career in the oil industry. We are taking the lead of the Alaska SPE Section and their scholarship practices, and are trying to foster interest in the Alaskan oil industry as students are leaving high school and also support those studying at UAF. We are thankful to those that support the FFFFF which makes our scholarship efforts possible. As a reminder, please pay your dues for the 2011 year NOW. Can t make the luncheon? Give the $20.00 to a friend to bring. We appreciate it. Also, for those that have purchased lunches for the year, Edgar Rodriguez has your name on a list to check as you check in at the table. If you truly need a card, we will make one for you. Looking forward to a great new year, see you at the meeting on the 20 th! - Greg 1/5

Tips Topics List.doc Attached is a listing of the Tips Column subjects that have been posted in the AADE Newsletters since September 2003. By the count here, this is the 59 th column/article that has been prepared for the newsletters. If you would desire for a copy of a particular column, please contact me at tom.mauder@alaska.gov and I will mail you a copy. It is also possible to access prior newsletters on the AADE web site, although the archive does not appear to be complete; http://www.aade.org/alaska/newsletter/index_news.htm. The goal of writing these columns has been to attempt to provide timely, general interest feed back to our colleagues and peers in the well construction industry. While I usually select a topic based on recent actions by the Commission or based on some matter encountered in reviewing permit applications or well reports, it is entirely acceptable for a member to send an email and propose a topic.
