CHAPTER # 11 FALL 2016 NEWSLETTER A NOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT We had a great turnout for our 2016 State Show. I would like to thank The Thumb Area Engine & Tractor Club for a well done job once again. This year at the show our membership voted on the most unique IH item. Our winner was Louis Weherman with his Super MD tractor with a sugar beet harvester. We also raffled off a 766 pedal tractor and the winner for the second year in a row was Jeff Schuring. Jeff choose to donate it back to the club and asked that we give it to a children s hospital. Thanks Jeff! We will be having our 4 th quarter meeting on Saturday, September 24 th, 2016 in Buckley. More information is in the newsletter. We are still looking for a FFA chapter for our 2016 donation. Please contact me if you know of a chapter that is in need of this donation and will put it to good use. Our club has lost three members over the past couple of months, they are Dan Waltz, Andrew Limban Jr, and Don Stoltz. Our sympathies goes out to all three families. They were all great men and will be missed. We also lost Bob Caloud from the Iowa chapter back in July. Bob was the past president of the Iowa chapter and also served as past president of the National IHC, Club. Again, prayers to the Caloud family, another great man that will be missed. I hope to see everyone at the meeting in Buckley in September. Forever Red, Randy
