Agreement Procedures Committee (APC) HELP NEEDED NORTHEAST REGION The agreement Procedures Committee (APC) has a vacancy in the Northeast Region. This vacancy has been open for several months now and we need someone to fill the vacancy. I am asking that each of the Commissioners in the Northeast look at the APC charter on the IFTA, Inc. website, and consider submitting a name to me at bkron@mstc.state.ms.us. Please respond by January 8, 2008 so that we have time to get the information to the IFTA, Inc. board by their meeting January 17, 2007. Thank you for your consideration of this request. Bill Kron, Chair Agreement Procedures Committee For those calling into our office regarding the 2008 Renewal Grace Period Memo, it has been posted on our homepage at www.iftach.org IFTA Short Track Ballots: 6-2007 Passed with an effective date of January 1, 2008 8-2007 Passed with an effective date of January 1, 2008 IFTA Full Track Ballots: 1-2007 Failed 2-2007 Failed 4-2007 Failed 5-2007 Failed Complete IFTA Manuals and revision pages will be made available on the IFTA, Inc. website by January 1, 2008. 4

Website updates...by Tom King Committees The Agreement Procedures Committee now has their November meeting minutes posted on the IFTA, Inc. website. Committee Volunteer Forms We have added Committee Volunteer Forms under Level 1 and higher, in.pdf format for the following committees: Agreement Procedures Committee, Audit Committee, Law Enforcement Committee, and the Attorneys Section Steering Committee. If you are interested in serving on any of these committees, please complete the form and fax, email, or mail it to IFTA, Inc. Please take a look at your jurisdiction s Communication List to be sure we have all the current information. Many times important information does not get passed along simply because we do not have the correct contact. If you have any questions or concerns, please notify Jessica Eubanks at jeubanks@iftach.org. Clearinghouse Update jdegraf@iftach.org New Jurisdiction Iowa is the latest member of the IFTA, Inc. Clearinghouse. They officially joined on December 5th. Their first transmittals will appear at the end of the month. Printing Transmittals I know old ways are hard to change. We all have this problem. Still printing transmittals? I can see the benefits in doing so, but I also have to ask why? The Clearinghouse is storing transmittals from as early as 1999. I don t plan on removing these any time soon. Even though these transmittals could be grandfathered and deleted, I feel keeping them around is good for business. It retains a copy virtually forever. While participating jurisdictions are saving big money on shipping, take it another step and save money and trees by not printing them. Not too mention employee time. Fixing the Surcharges Fixes to the surcharges are due by the end of the year. If you have not updated the surcharge errors we will not be able to allow you to use the Distance and Fuel report that will be up by the end of the year. Those that have complied will be listed in the drop down boxes and can utilize the report. 5
