Transcription:

York Rifle Range Association, Inc. Meeting Minutes for 9/8/2015 Call To Order The York Rifle Range Association meeting for 9/8/2015 was called to order by President Doug Nace at 7:30 pm with 18 members present. Pledge of allegiance was recited by the group Minutes of Last Meeting The minutes for the 8/11/2015 meeting were read by interim Recording Secretary Jeff Walters and were approved with one correction to add the statement "and officers" to the new business section involving the coming years electoral nominations. Fred Haag motioned approval, seconded by Dick Ide, approved by membership. Treasurer's Report Ken Kreiger, Treasurer, gave the Treasurer's report. See attachment #1. Bank Statement for investment account was not available in time for tonight's meeting. A revised and updated report was submitted by Ken via mail a few days later. Financials will be audited at year end. Membership Secretary's Report Jim Jensen gave the membership report. See attachment #2 Dues payments will begin to be accepted starting October 1st. Signs have been posted at each range as a reminder to the membership. Sheet with the junior members advancing to Senior status and seniors advancing to Lifetime status is posted in the clubhouse. 9 juniors are advancing to senior status and 21 seniors are advancing to lifetime status. Small Bore Report Greg Livingston gave the report. North team won the summer outdoor matches by 2 points. Indoor three position season starts on October 2nd with York traveling to Palmyra. Big Bore Report Fred Haag gave the report. We had 17 shooters for the trophy match held on August 23rd. Jeremy Bogdany was winner in the master classification, John Yankowski was winner in the expert classification, Kevin Cornfield was winner in the combined marksman and sharpshooter classification. Fred Haag was overall match winner.

Next NRA 800 agg match will be on September 27th and the CMP Garand match will be on October 3rd. Fred asked the board to look at the membership to see if there is a way to allow prospective members on the wait list to shoot for the York team. The overall problem is that for a York team to be considered "in competition" at Camp Perry it has to have at least one new shooter each year. The pool of new shooters in the current membership roll has, for the most part, been exhausted. There are a few highpower shooters in the current wait list for membership. The question at hand is there a way to create a status for the the highpower shooters on the waitlist to so they can shoot for the York team at nationals. The Board of Directors will look in to this situation. Junior Program Nothing to report Building and Grounds George Himmelwright gave the report. Still mowing to keep the grass in check. Steel plate has been installed at 235 yds on the rifle range. Work dates need to be scheduled. Should have them at the next meeting. Dick Ide also mentioned that there is woodpecker damage to the sign board near the pistol range. Legislative Nothing new to report. Old Business None New Business Nominations for 2016 Officers and Board of Directors were presented. The nominations are as follows: 2016-17 Board of Directors Norm Taylor, Greg Livingston, and Fred Haag. President- Doug Nace, Vice President- Dick Ide, Treasurer- Ken Kreiger, Recording Secretary- Jeff Walters, Membership Secretary- Jim Jensen Motion to close nominations was made by George Himmelwright and seconded by Greg Livingston, Approved by membership. Nomination list will be posted in the clubhouse for 30 days. Election will be at the October meeting. Good or Welfare of the Club A reminder was made that only paper targets can be used on established target frames. Bullet impacts must hit the dirt backstop behind the target frames. Use of non paper targets or portable target stands are not permitted. No one is permitted in the 200 yard pit when the steel target @235 yards is being used. Conversely if the 200 yard pit is being used shooting at the steel target @ 235 yards is not permitted. Rep Stan Saylor dropped off PA hunting guides at the clubhouse. Adjournment Meeting adjourned at 8:00 pm. Motion to adjourn was made, seconded and approved by membership.
