Small Bore Report Greg Livingston gave the report. North team won the summer outdoor matches by 2 points. Indoor three position season starts on October 2nd with York traveling to Palmyra. Big Bore Report Fred Haag gave the report. We had 17 shooters for the trophy match held on August 23rd. Jeremy Bogdany was winner in the master classification, John Yankowski was winner in the expert classification, Kevin Cornfield was winner in the combined marksman and sharpshooter classification. Fred Haag was overall match winner.
Next NRA 800 agg match will be on September 27th and the CMP Garand match will be on October 3rd. Fred asked the board to look at the membership to see if there is a way to allow prospective members on the wait list to shoot for the York team. The overall problem is that for a York team to be considered "in competition" at Camp Perry it has to have at least one new shooter each year. The pool of new shooters in the current membership roll has, for the most part, been exhausted. There are a few highpower shooters in the current wait list for membership. The question at hand is there a way to create a status for the the highpower shooters on the waitlist to so they can shoot for the York team at nationals. The Board of Directors will look in to this situation. Junior Program Nothing to report Building and Grounds George Himmelwright gave the report. Still mowing to keep the grass in check. Steel plate has been installed at 235 yds on the rifle range. Work dates need to be scheduled. Should have them at the next meeting. Dick Ide also mentioned that there is woodpecker damage to the sign board near the pistol range. Legislative Nothing new to report.
