Christopher Jerome Hill (DOB: 12/03/1990) Current Address Unknown Defendant. FELONY CRIMINAL COMPLAINT Summons Warrant Order of Detention Amended Certified Juvenile EJJ The Complainant, being duly sworn, makes complaint to the above-named Court and states that there is probable cause to believe that the Defendant committed the following offense(s): COUNT 1 On or about the 31st day of July, 2013, in Ramsey County, Minnesota, the defendant, CHRISTOPHER JEROME HILL, did unlawfully possess a firearm, while prohibited for having been convicted or adjudicated delinquent of a crime of violence. Said acts constituting the offense of Possession of Firearm by an Ineligible Person in violation of MN Statute: 624.713.1(2); 624.713.2(b); 609.11.5(b) Maximum Sentence: 15 years or $30,000 fine or both Mandatory Minimum Sentence: 5 years

STATEMENT OF PROBABLE CAUSE Page: 2 of 7 The Complainant states that the following facts establish probable cause: Your complainant, Dan Zebro, is a licensed peace officer in the State of Minnesota and an investigator with the St. Paul Police Department. Having read and reviewed other police reports of which he is familiar, states the following to be true and correct: On July 31, 2013, St. Paul police were conducting surveillance at the West Side Grocery located at 605 Stryker Ave. in St. Paul, Minnesota due to complaints of narcotics dealing in and around this convenience store. Based on an observation of suspicious activity, St. Paul police attempted to stop three young males. As Officers approached the group, they ran. Officer Spencer specifically pursued one of the men and followed him to 598 Winslow Ave, a distance of less than a block from the West Side Market and saw him enter the residence. Officer Spencer had commanded the man to stop before he entered the residence but he refused, entered and closed the door. This same man, later identified as Demetrice Devon Miller, d.o.b. 6/16/1990, was arrested by another officer as he had exited the house from a different entrance. Demetrice Miller said that he ran because he had warrants. This was true. A second male among the group was detained and identified as Deante Deshawn Hollis-Mckee, d.o.b. 5/07/1992. A third person being sought was believed to be inside of the house. A person present and identified as George Coleman gave officers consent to search the house for this suspect. During the sweep of the house for this unknown suspect, officers saw in plain view, a bb pistol and a sawed-off shotgun. Due to the apparent illegality of the sawed off shotgun, a search warrant was applied for and granted for a search of the premises. Present in the house at the time of the execution of the warrant at around 10:50 a.m., were George Coleman, a women identified as A.B.W., d.o.b. 2/15/1994 said to be the girlfriend of Deante Hollis-McKee, her 4 month old child and a man found hiding in the attic identified as CHRISTOPHER JEROME HILL, d.o.b. 12/03/1990. A.40 cal. Ruger P94 semi-auto pistol, SN: 34127809 was found in the attic space above the middle bedroom where HILL had been hiding. The shotgun found in the basement was a pistol grip Excel, 12ga. It was later measured and showed to be 18 ¾ in length with a barrel length of 11, making it an illegal sawed-off shotgun. Buccal swabs were taken from George Coleman, Demetrice Miller, Deante Hollis-Mckee and Christopher Hill for the purpose of DNA typing. These swabs along with swabbings from the shotgun, the.40 cal. Ruger and the.177 cal BB pistol were submitted to the BCA for DNA analysis. CHRISTOPHER HILL was arrested and taken to the Ramsey County LEC. Having been given the Miranda Advisory, he declined giving a statement. CHRISTOPHER HILL is ineligible to possess a firearm having been convicted of Assault in the Second Degree (2010), a crime of violence.
