Adjournment of Eecutive Session The motion was made by Mrs. Platt and seconded by Mr. Parisi to adjourn the Eecutive Session and Reconvene to Open Session at 7:03 p.m. Reconvene into Open Session in the LGI at 7:05 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance The Board recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Public Hearing to Transfer up to $3,000,000.00 from the Transportation Fund to the Operational Fund President Bruscato called the Public Hearing to Order at 7:06 p.m. Mr. Zelek shared with the Board additional information regarding the proposed Transfer of Funds and notified them that no community members contacted his office. Comments or Questions from the Board and Audience None President Bruscato declared the Public Hearing closed at 7:09 p.m. Public Hearing for the 2016 Ta Levy President Bruscato called the Public Hearing to Order at 7:10 p.m. Mr. Zelek shared with the Board additional information and adjustments regarding the proposed 2016 Ta Levy and notified them that no community members contacted his office.
Comments or Questions from the Audience None Comments or Questions from the Board Peter Volpe requested an eplanation of the ta rate formula used to request the final ta rate. It was eplained that the estimation is based on the fact that the county has not released the total Equalized Assessed Valuation (EAV) nor the new construction values at the time the levy is passed. President Bruscato declared the Public Hearing closed at 7:18 p.m. President and Assistant Superintendent s Announcements and Recognitions Communications to the Board Dr. Wade announced that the assistant principal of Elm Middle School just completed his doctoral program and we can now address him as Dr. Cody Huisman. The Board and audience congratulated Dr. Huisman. Secretary Capraro read a thank you sympathy card from the Immanuel United Church of Christ for the John Kingsmill s memorial donation. Service award gift thank you cards from Mary Pat Lagattuta and Angie Gulliford were read to the Board. Superintendent Reports For Discussion: Report #1101 Report #1102 Report #1103 Report #1104 Audit Report Presentation Joseph Lightcap, a representative from our auditing firm Baker Tilly, discussed the most recent school audit and minor deficiencies. Copies of the report were delivered to each Board member in a hard-copy format. PMA Financial Report Tammie Beckwith Schallmo, a representative from our financial firm PMA, was present to discuss the current state of District finances and ability to make decisions regarding the funding options of upcoming projects. Mathematical Modeling and Applications High School Presentation High School Assistant Principal Sheri Costello presented information about a new math course intended for senior level students who are struggling with math and not intending to go into careers requiring Calculus or other advanced math coursework. Standards-Based Grading Report Dr. Wade presented an update on the District s efforts to move to a standards-based grading system.

Technology Plan: Infrastructure Update Board Goal 2.c.1) Dr. Wade and Mr. Kinane presented information about the review of current District technology infrastructure and the recommended plans for keeping the infrastructure up to date for increased technology use. The Board asked for clarification of funding sources and additional information to be presented at the net board meeting. This will be the first review of this policy and the recommended travel ependiture limits. Based on a review of recent travel to the National School Board convention and comparison to neighboring districts, it is recommended that the policy set the epense limit at $4,000 per person per event (registration, lodging, travel, food, and miscellaneous epenses) and $75 per day for food epenses for short-term trips/meetings.
