RESOLUTION 2017-166 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF YOUTH SERVICE BOARD/MUNICIPAL ALLIANCE AGREEMENT FOR FY 2018 WHEREAS, the,, recognizes that the abuse of alcohol and drugs is a serious problem in our society amongst persons of all ages; and WHEREAS, the Borough Council further recognizes that it is incumbent upon not only public officials but upon the entire community to take action to prevent such abuses in our community; and WHEREAS, the Borough Council has applied for funding to the Governor s Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse through the NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the as follows: 1) The Borough Council does hereby authorize acceptance of monies for the Metuchen Municipal Alliance grant for fiscal year 2018 in the amount of: DEDR $20,965.00 Cash Match $ 5,241.25 In-Kind $15,723.75 2) The acknowledges the terms and conditions for administering the Municipal Alliance grant, including the administrative compliance and audit requirements. RESOLUTION 2017-167 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RELEASE OF PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE 230 CHRISTOL STREET - LANDSCAPING ONLY TO DAMADARAN HARIKRISHNAN (PG15-1057) WHEREAS, the Borough Zoning Officer, in an email dated June 1, 2017, has reported that the on-site landscaping improvements associated with the referenced property has been completed in an acceptable manner; and WHEREAS, Patricia Cullen, Zoning Officer has recommended the full release of the Landscaping Performance Guarantee in the amount of a cash bond of $3,500.00, for the landscaping only, which had been posted on October 20, 2016; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the that the is hereby authorized and directed to release said Landscaping Performance Bonds of a cash bond in the amount $3,500.00 as recommended and directed by the Borough Zoning Officer to Damadaran Harikrishnan, 20 Christol Street, Metuchen, NJ 08840. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no maintenance bond is required to be posted.
