Page 8 Wolf enews Kayaking Field Trip By Mrs. Klein Environmental Science and Ecology club Wolves spent the day exploring Galveston Bay by Kayak last week! We paddled in the Bay, ate a picnic lunch and used water color painting to look closely at the estuary wetlands. Students enjoyed connecting with our environment. After the paddling trip, we spent some time enjoying the beach at Galveston Island State Park. The waves were a blast! Scott from the Turtle Island Restoration Network met us on the beach and showed the students through the process of sampling for microplastics trapped in the sand. Environmental Science in action!
