A word from the Director We ve had some really nice fall riding days this year. I m hoping that continues into November. The 70 degree days are gone and its struggling to get into the sixties now. I m still seeing a lot of bikes on the road whenever we get a sunny day. Its hard to believe Halloween is here already and Thanksgiving is just around the corner. The season just seemed really short this year. We didn t get good riding weather till mid to late June. First it was cold. Then it seemed to never stop raining. With my riding season cut short at the end of August by hitting a deer, it was a really short season for me. I guess that means it can only get better next year. I hope you got plenty of saddle time. I think we set a record for the number of Chapter rides we had this year. The Fall Color ride on October 5th was a nice ride, even if a bit on the cold side. As luck would have it that week-end was the coldest one we had in October. It struggled to get into the 50 s. I drove up and met the group in Caledonia for dinner. There were some pretty fall colors but the peak was about 10 days later. The October meeting was pretty lightly attended, with 7 members present. We received a few nominations for officers but we have some positions still open. Nominations will continue to be accepted until the November meeting which will be Saturday, November 8 th at 1:00 PM at the Dealership conference room. It will be our last meeting for the year since we haven t been having December and January meetings for the last few years. Election of officers for the coming year will be the main topic for the meeting so please try and attend. We need participation from the membership if we are going to remain a successful Chapter. When you put your bike away for the season don t forget to give Daryl your ending mileage for the mileage contest. If you didn t make a Chapter ride with us this year you don t know what a good time you missed. We always have fun and our rides always end with a meal. No more news so have an awesome day and always remember: Life is too short for drama and other petty things, so laugh hard, love truly and forgive quickly. Live while you are alive. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second chance. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
