Harry, a Lower Moreland graduate, is a successful screenwriter and director living in California. Using Google Hangouts, he spoke to 35 or so students with Mrs. Curzi at the High School while we phoned in from here at the

The interactive Q&A was fun and lively and we are already plotting and planning our next Virtual Author Talk... Did you stop by the Spring/Summer Extravaganza on Saturday, June 2?? It was amazingly awesome!! The entire building, from the Valley Youth Center in the basement to the Community Room on the 2nd floor were full of happy (hot) families enjoying games, bounce houses, food, and crafts. Congratulations to the Lower Moreland Township and Denise Kuritz for hosting this great Community Event. Vaness and Terri ran the craft and StoryWalk in the Library, while Pam and I shared information about upcoming events (like Summer Reading) upstairs. Summer Reading 2018: LIBRARIES ROCK! The fun starts with a world music concert with Daria on Wednesday, June 27. Here's a sneak peak at the Summer Reading Tri-fold (.pdf) with ALL of the events scheduled for kids. Let's see...there will be Shark Magic, a Harry Potter Party, a Musical Instrument Museum, Cartooning, Eyes of the Wild, Franklin Institute and a wrap-up concert featuring your home-made instruments with "Two of Kind." Teens are also Rockin' the Library this summer with fun activities planned for young adults going into 6th to 12th grade, including weekly Rock Band Club jam sessions in the Valley Youth
sessions in the Valley Youth Center. Also planned: World Instrument Jam, Bollywood dance workshop and henna, Alex London author event (encore visit for us), Scratch-art on CDs, and candymaking. Adults are free to attend the Wednesday night Family Programs, but we also have Zumba, computer classes, and a painting workshop just for you!
