These resignations have left two vacancies, president and treasurer, on the Council. In order to fill these seats in a timely manner, elections will be held from Friday February 4 th through Sunday February 6 th. The following candidates have submitted their names for consideration. Candidates: President Brian Gladstone Jenessa D. Jules Matthew J. Ramos Sage J. Santangelo Treasurer Ryan Erskine Christopher J. Martin Melanie Pinette Alex Takata Emily Upton The BSG Affairs Committee requests that the above-listed students be allowed to forego the collection of signatures on petitions and be qualified as candidates for the aforementioned election so long as they comply with all other election rules and requirements.
Proposal 101111 Proposed by: Anna Noucas POLAR BEAR NATION T-SHIRTS Attempting to foster school spirit is an important part of BSG s responsibility on campus, and one organization solely dedicated to this is Polar Bear Nation. They are requesting help funding their purchase of Polar Bear Nation T-Shirts for the campus. As the shirts will include BSG s name if we provide funding, this is a great opportunity for advertising ourselves to the Student Body. The Athletic Council requests that $2000 be allocated to support the purchase of Polar Bear Nation t-shirts.
Proposal 101112 Proposed by: Facilities FUNDING REQUEST CONCERNING MOVIE TICKETS Over the past few years, the BSG has purchased movie tickets for sale at a reduced rate to the student body. The Facilities committee purchases the Regal Movie Tickets at the rate of $7.50/per ticket. It is the opinion of the Facilities committee that the BSG should order 100 movie tickets for this semester. Tickets will continue to be sold at the standard $7.00 price. The Committee requests that the BSG support the aforementioned initiative by allocating $750 for the purchase of movie tickets.
