BRG s Source on Social Needs Credible Facts to Help You Build Your Story

BRG s Source on Social Needs Overview It s time to get more visibility for your giving efforts and increase awareness on the issues you support. Your organization works tirelessly to identify and provide support to social issues impacting our world every day. However, many times this work can go unnoticed because the general public may not truly understand the critical need your efforts are answering or media doesn t view the charitable work as newsworthy. To help corporate foundations and nonprofits further showcase the critical need their efforts are supporting, BRG developed the Source on Social Needs a compilation of reports with data on a variety of critical social issue areas as hunger and poverty, housing and homelessness, employment, environment, healthcare, demographics and diversity, and education. By demonstrating the need that exists through credible third-party data, your organization can elevate the newsworthiness of your giving efforts. Methodology BRG Communications developed its Source on Social Needs by conducting a comprehensive online search and media audit to identify reports by nonprofits and government agencies that provided a current snapshot on the state of key social issues. BRG focused the research on seven important social issues that have become areas of expertise for the agency through their client programs. These issues include hunger and poverty, housing and homelessness, employment, environment, healthcare, demographics and diversity, and education. This report is curated content from a variety of thought leader organizations that provided what BRG felt was informative and newsworthy data. This report is not meant to be comprehensive.
