Minutes of Missouri State University Panhellenic April 13, 2016 The General Council meeting was called to order by President Bailey Becker at 4:00 pm in the Parliamentary Room. The roll was called by Vice President of Administration, Bailey Malone. PREVIOUS MINUTES The previous minutes were read and approved by our delegate. OPEN FORUM a. Alpha Delta Pi Involvement in chapters, getting members involved in your events and outside events, how to get more members involved internally, having point systems, holding each other accountable. Please keep your phones away at this time Bailey B. OFFICER REPORTS I. President, Bailey Becker (Bailey2521@live.missouristate.edu ) a. Happy Greek Week! I hope everyone is having a great week! Continue to be respectful to Greek Week Committee and the other teams completing. It's been a great week so far. b. Delegates, please send me your representative for the spring football game halftime game. I still need AXO, ADPI, SK, AND XIOM. Also, delegates please remind your presidents that our presidents meeting is next Friday the 22nd, NOT this Friday the 15th. c. Speaking of the spring game, bearfest village will start at 10 am on April 23rd and the game will start at noon. Please come support your sisters at the half time contest. Also, I know this is the same day as most of your Dad s days but they planned the spring game around the baseball game. Half time will start around 1ish and the game will be over around 1:45 so you will have time to get to the baseball game after. Please let me know if you have any questions. PHA will give $100 to the sorority who has the highest amount of attendance at the end of the game to their philanthropy. d. Alpha Omicron Pi will be joining us in general council next week. It will be a formal meeting, please pass that information along to your chapter members. e. Overview of voting on recruitment rules today. II. VP of Community Relations, Brianna Duda (Duda695@live.missouristate.edu) a. Thank you to everyone who donated to our Relay team or helped us out at the event. PHA raised over $1000 b. You can still donate hygiene products, there is a basket in the FSL office. c. Service opportunity: Convoy of Hope is having a huge community event and will need help with set up and teardown. ANNOUNCEMENTS AXΩ : We have been having so much fun this week with all of you and especially our pairings! Sorority Field Day Facebook event is up and out there with more details of what it will exactly consist of, so please RSVP if you plan on coming. Remember, I have challenged each chapter to have at LEAST 5 members there and whoever has the highest attendance will receive a prize! AΔΠ : Thank you to those who came by McDonald's last Friday and Saturday and donated to the Ronald McDonald House during our philanthropy event! We're so excited that Greek Week is here! Good luck to everyone! AΣA : We are having so much fun so far at Greek Week and we'd like to wish all of the other teams good luck for the remainder of the week, and we hope school is going well for everyone. ΔZ : April 18 th in Library 101 @ 6:30 will be a Sexual Assault Prevention Speaker, everyone is welcome to attend! Have a great rest of your Greek Week! ΓΦB : On April 19th, we are having a Jail and Bail philanthropy event. We'll have some members of the FSL community trying to raise their "bail" and the first to raise the entire thing will win a prize. We hope everyone is having a great Greek Week and we cannot wait for God and Goddess and Greek Jam! ΣK : We have our senior week coming up and we are so excited to honor them for all of their dedication these past years of being in the chapter! We are also having our Inherit the Earth week April 18th through the 22nd, and on the 22nd we will be showing the documentary Racing Extinction. The time and place for that are still TBD so be on the lookout for that! Also we will potentially be hosting an all PHA event the evening of the 27th so we will give you more details on that when we have them! ΣΣΣ : This past weekend we initiated 9 wonderful women into our chapter! We are having an absolute blast with Greek Week so far, and we love seeing all the FSL spirit! Good luck to all the teams and we can't wait to see what else is in store for the week! ΞOI : Greek week has been so fun, especially since we get to watch our new girls experience it for the first time! Best of luck to all the pairings this week!
