SG and contributing states 2006 (28 April) Resolution 1674 (2006) Civilians and armed conflict The Resolution is mainly concentrated in IHL rules and the rights of civilians it invokes in detail can all be found in Geneva Conventions (even if they are not always explicitly mentioned). Meanwhile, the SC makes stresses twice the importance of IHRL and in Opp.26 it condemns the targeting of civilian population and other protected persons and the systematic violations of IHL and HRL in situations of armed conflict. 2006 (24 March) Resolution 1663 (2006) Strongly condemns the activities of militias and armed groups such as Lord's Resistance Army, which continue to attack civilians and commit human rights abuses in (Opp.7).
