ACCEPTABLE ID DOCUMENTS FOR VERIFYING IDENTITY FOR A DBS CHECK The DBS require different ID documentation to be provided depending on the applicant s nationality. For a list of acceptable ID documents please refer to the following documents: LIST 1: For and European Economic Area (EEA) applicants LIST 2: For Non- and Non-European Economic Area (EEA) applicants (PAID WORK ONLY) 05/02/18

LIST 1 ACCEPTABLE ID DOCUMENTS FOR VERIFYING IDENTITY FOR A DBS CHECK AND EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA (EEA) APPLICANTS ONLY (Route 1) Applicants are required to present original documents only. Applicants must provide one document from Group 1 and a further two documents from Group 1, 2a or 2b. Please note one document must verify the applicant s current address and one must verify their date of birth. Group 1: Primary Identity s Passport Any current and valid passport Biometric residence permit Current driving licence photo card /Isle of Man/Channel Islands and EEA. Please note date of entry into the will need to be provided for non photo cards Birth certificate issued within 12 months of birth Adoption Certificate and Channel Islands including those issued by authorities overseas, eg Embassies, High Commissions and HM Forces and Channel Islands Group 2a: Trusted Government s Current driving licence photo card All countries outside the EEA (excluding Isle of Man and Channel Islands). Applicants must provide one document from the Primary s section and two documents from the Supporting s section below. Please note one document must verify the applicant s current address.
