Pinckney Knights Newsletter Knights of Columbus Council # 11761 St. Mary Catholic Church 10601 Dexter Pinckney Road, Pinckney, MI 48169 MARCH 2016 Gr Knights Corner Worthy Brothers: Congratulations are in order! On Sunday, February 14 (Valentines Day), we elevated 10 members of our council to 3rd Degree Knights! Among the 10, there were four br new Knights, one reinstated Knight, six of our own brothers that advanced from 1st to 2nd 3rd Degree that day. If it has been a while since you viewed a ceremony like the Major Degree event, you are missing something. It is said every time you experience one, you take a part of it home with you. I would like to personally thank Father Bill for allowing us to use the church various building facilities. Next, our own 1st Degree Team did a fantastic job on the 1st Degree Installation. Additionally, a Major Degree Team came down from Saginaw for this ceremony. Kudos are in order to Earl Blackburn Dan Leonard for cooking the afternoon dinner, the scrub team for taking care of dishes pans, the rest of the kitchen staff for serving clean up. I could not be prouder as your Gr Knight for the effort that everyone from Council 11761 put forth to make this event such a success.
