The William C. Davis Collection Records, 1931-1972 (Predominantly, 1964-1972) 6.5 linear feet Accession No: 547 L.C. Number MS The Davis C. W i l l i a m Collection was placed in the Archives of Labor and Urban Affairs in February of 1973 and opened for research in May of 1988. W i l l i a m C. Davis has been active in and associated with the Air Line Pilots Association, (affiliated with AFL-CIO) since 1960. He has served in several official areas; first serving as a Treasurer and later as Vice-President at Region V in the 1970s. The files are primarily the records of the various meetings and special projects of ALPA. The majority of the material is almost exclusively related to the ALPA Board of Directors and Executive Board for the 1960s and early 1970s, and Executive Committee for the 1960s and 1970s of which Davis was a member. Additional material in the collection consists of public relations reports and plans for new headquarter. Also included are various reports on special projects. The record series contains materials collected by Mr. Davis, a United Airlines pilot, but generated by ALPA. The collection reflects exclusively files of the various officer meetings. An index to the collection's subjects w i l l be found on page 8.
