Alec Parkin: Addressed the email vote for the request of three upper courts on June 22 nd 23 rd for the men s basketball camp since Coors Events Center will be used for the Dalai Lama. The Rec needs to put up notices ahead of time stating the facility closure so students can understand this is closure is for a special event. b. Rec Board approved the temporary use of three pool lanes Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00 7:30pm for fall semester. The remaining 5 lanes were open for use. The trial period went very well in the fall. There was never an instance where staff had to ask open users to leave because of overcrowding. Barb, pool manager has confirmed that it has been going well during Spring semester as well. d. CUSG encourages everyone to get involved. The CUSG web site can help answer any questions. CUSG is working hard on training and certifying members to help the next tri and leg council reps. The social climate survey and sexual climate survey are public now. Undergraduates have a higher report of sexual assault than graduate students. We are working on measures to fix this. b. About 40,000 gallons of water was lost during a one hour period. Staff responded very well. Saved one racquetball court floor. Turf gym became a waterbed and efforts to dry it out now are in effect. Staff is rolling up the turf to allow underneath to dry out. There was damage to paneling in the racquetball courts. This is situation will be an insurance loss. b. Lee Silbert: The sprinklers are protected, right? c. Dan Rummel: The ball hit the protective cage just right. The Rec is looking into installing a netting on the ceiling or some new type of

protective cage. Tests are being done to make sure there is no possibility of mold. d. Alec Parkin: Are other areas open? e. Dan Rummel: At this time racquetball courts are open but all of the turf gym is closed. f. Lee Silbert: Who is the new PM? g. Dan Rummel: Mike Millowsky. h. Jam fest registration is going so well that Rec is rescheduling to start an hour early. Hosting a glow in the dark tournament next week but may be rescheduled because of turf damage. Six classes reached max enrollment so now people are registering ahead of time for classes such as Brazilian Ju Jitsu, Cuban hip hop, ice hockey, personal training. The 12 week session package has sold more than any ever for personal training. i. Annie Mulvany: RecFest this Saturday. There are a lot of participants and food sponsors have donated a great deal. For the morning there will be granola and Noosa yogurt, Freshii in the afternoon and Papa Johns is donating 30 pizzas for the evening. Working on plan for Admitted Student Day April 9 th. Gearing this event towards prospective students and getting more of a taste of the Rec. j. Scott Schubert: How is the way finding signage going? k.
