INTRODUCTION 1. PURPOSE The purpose of this tender process is to include Supply and Delivery of Electrical Spare Parts for Murum HEP. BACKGROUND Murum Hydro Power Generation Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sarawak Energy Berhad ("Sarawak Energy"). Sarawak Energy is wholly-owned by the State Government of Sarawak and is responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity to industrial and residential customers within Sarawak. At this moment, Murum HEP does not have these essential electrical spare parts. Any failure happens to one of the components will cause longer downtime for Murum HEP s electrical equipment. Hence, in order to ensure reliability of Murum HEP and prevent potential failures of Murum HEP s electrical equipment, it is essential to have these spare parts. These spares have to be fully operational and ready for use in the event of electrical equipment fault. Hence, it will minimize downtime of Murum HEP s electrical equipment. 3. COMMERCIAL BASIS FOR TENDER OFFERS Tender Offers shall be submitted in accordance with the requirements set out in the Tender Documents. The Conditions of Contract are based upon Sarawak Energy s standard terms and supported by Contract Appendices that collectively set out and describe Sarawak Energy s requirements for the Goods.
