Page 2 THE KLAXON President s Message Up Coming Events 5/5/2016 Monthly Meeting at Daley s Service Center 6/2/2016 Hellertown Show Greetings: Our April meeting had a very good turnout, with John Sheaffer giving a tech talk on amp meters and how the connections come loose, a fire hazard for sure. Next we had our parts auction. It went great and was a lot of fun. Carl Megonigle sold the most; somewhere around $230.00, and he donated it back to the club. From all of us thank you Carl. About eight of us went to Carlisle Car and parts auction, and all came back with sore feet and legs and not much else. The next day about 7 of us both in modern cars and model A's drove to Hellertown for their car show. There was about 12 vendors and 83 Model A cars and trucks. There was a little rain but all in all a great day. Thanks goes out to Billy Long for the meatball sandwiches at the April meeting which was a nice treat. At our next meeting we will be talking about a tour to Boyertown. See you at our next meeting on May 5th. All the best, Ted Editor s Message Happy Birthdays for May 2016! Dee Coates 1 Joe Weldon 3 Larry Klopfenstein 5 Carol Boles 6 Zach Demusz 6 Michael Etling 12 Janice Skrot 12 Charles Simon 18 Maureen Kress-King 24 Don O Hara 24 Carl Pfeiffer 26 Barb Zampirri 29 Paul Christensen 30 Bob Kehan 30 Stace Leichliter 30 Fred Mueller 30 Hello everyone: At our last meeting, John Sheaffer mentioned oiling the Model A horn during his tech talk. I admit that I had never even thought of that. It was very easy and only required the removal of one screw to pull the rear horn cover off to access the oil locations. Hellertown was a great show. Nelson had mentioned to me that 83 model A s had shown up. This was slightly down from last year because of the early morning showers. The flea market seemed a little larger this year. All in all, it was a great show. See you on the 5th! Jim
