Judge Ford stated that the Court will consider adopting the County Tax Rate on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 8:30 am. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Gary Lovell to approve the salary of Jocelyn Machuca as a part time jailer at a pay rate of $12.49 per hour, effective September 5, 2016. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Gary Lovell to approve the salary of Claude Watson as temporary part time custodial for the Senior Citizens Center at a pay rate of $10.84 per hour. Motion carried 5 to 0.

Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Kennon Kellum to receive as information the order setting annual salary for the Official Court Reporter of the County Court at Law for fiscal Year 2017. Motion carried 5 to 0. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Kennon Kellum to receive as information the order setting annual salary for the Official Court Reporter of the 3 rd Judicial District Court for fiscal year 2017. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Gary Lovell to accept the verbal amount of $22,790.64 from District Judge Fletcher as the annual salary for the Official Court Reporter of the 349 th Judicial District Court for fiscal Year 2017. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Kennon Kellum to accept as information the order setting annual salary for the County Auditor. Motion made by Pat Perry seconded by Kennon Kellum to adopt an Order closing and abandoning County Road 3425 as long as it doesn t interfere with the Church Parking lot. Motion made by Gary Lovell seconded by Kennon Kellum to receive as information Road Closure Notifications for bridge replacement construction on County Road 1585, County Road 1545, County Road 1765, County Road 1680 and County Road 1750 from Texas Department of Transportation. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Kennon Kellum to approve the Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund Application and Interlocal Agreement for Christmas in Crockett and allocate $6,000.00 from the Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund (HOT fund). Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Kennon Kellum to approve the Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund Application and Interlocal Agreement for The Michelle Lynn Holsey Foundation and allocate $5,000.00 from the Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund (Hot Fund). The Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund Application from Holiday Inn Express for advertising failed for a lack of a motion. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Gary Lovell to approve the grant contract for Victim Coordinator and Liaison for County Attorney s Office beginning September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2017. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Kennon Kellum to approve Amendment Number 05 06 for Contract Number 001020008, Home Delivered Meals.

Motion made by Judge Ford seconded by Gary Lovell to approve Houston County Emergency Evacuation Plan for Courthouse and Courthouse Annex. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Kennon Kellum to approve Title IV E County Legal Services Annual Review Contract Number 24105139 with Texas Department of Family and Protective Services for Fiscal Year 2017. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Gary Lovell to adopt the revised Order setting policy for mailboxes in County owned property and right of way. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Pat Perry to receive as information the repeal Joint Resolution by the City of Crockett concerning emergency management services. Motion carried 5 to 0 Motion made by Judge Ford seconded by Kennon Kellum to approve the revised agreement concerning the emergency management services. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Gary Lovell to approve the appointment of election judges and alternate judges from the Democratic Party Chairman for the General Election to be held on November 8, 2016. Motion made by Judge Ford seconded by Willie Kitchen to accept as information Fiscal Year 2017 Houston County Appraisal District Budget. Judge Ford opened the Public Hearing on the proposed Houston County Budget for Fiscal Year 2017. Judge Ford closed the Public Hearing Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Kennon Kellum to adopt Houston County Budget for Fiscal Year 2017. Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Gary Lovell to set the salaries for all officers and employees of Houston County for Fiscal Year 2017. Motion made by Kennon Kellum seconded by Pat Perry to propose a revised Fiscal Year 2017 County Tax Rate of $0.524 cents. Maintenance and Operations Tax Rate of $0.45400 Interest and Sinking Tax Rate of $0.07000 Motion made by Willie Kitchen seconded by Kennon Kellum to renew the county property and auto insurance policy with Texas Association of Counties for Fiscal Year 2017.
