Each person s comments will be limited to three minutes. 4. Commissioners Fry, Blasi, Griggs, Levin, McKinley, Smith, Elzinga Wright concurred. 6.1 Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment / Neighborhood Plan Change / Quasi- Judicial Zone Change Case No. CPC-NPC-ZC17-05 for property located at 2425 Strong Road SE, 3991 & 3993 Fairview Industrial Drive SE & 4080 Reed Road SE Ward 3 Morningside Neighborhood Association (Morningside) (Chris Green; CGreen@cityofsalem.net) Summary: A consolidated application containing the following requests: 1) A Comprehensive Plan Map change from Industrial to Industrial Commercial ; 2) A change to the Morningside Neighborhood Plan designation from Industrial to Industrial Commercial ; 3) A Quasi-Judicial Zone Change from IBC (Industrial Business Center) to IC (Industrial Commercial). The subject property is approximately 7.97 acres in size, zoned IBC (Industrial Business Campus), located at 2425 Strong Road SE, 3991 3993 Fairview Industrial Drive SE, 4080 Reed Road SE (Marion County Assessor map tax lot numbers: 083W12B01490, 1491, 1492, 1498). Case Manager, Chris Green, entered the presentation, staff report, all attachments into the record proceeded with his presentation. Staff recommends that the Planning Commission adopt the facts findings of the staff report APPROVE the following actions for the subject property approximately 7.97 acres in size, zoned IBC (Industrial Business Campus), located at 2425 Strong Road SE, 3991 3993 Fairview Industrial Drive SE, 4080 Reed Road SE (Marion County Assessor map tax lot numbers: 083W12B01490, 1491, 1492, 1498): A. PLANNING ADMINISTRATOR S REPORT 8.1 Short-term rentals are now effective the City has received a small amount of applications. 8.2 Accessory Dwelling Units effective as of August 9 th. 8.3 August 15 th Joint Work session with N.A. 8.4 Planning Commission agenda will be changing coming this Fall. 8.5 HB 3245 passed the Governor s desk; however, not effective until January. COMMISSIONER COMMENTS FOR THE GOOD OF THE ORDER 9.1 Commissioner Wright will not be attending the August 15 th meeting. 9.2 Commissioner Wright spoke about a Lake Oswego Youth Leadership Council article in the League of Oregon Cities magazine. 9.3 Commissioner Fry asked about a work session on August 1 st or canceling the meeting. Commissioner Fry stated the August 1 st meeting will be canceled due to no hearings. He stated the next open meeting will be scheduled for a work plan session. * * * * * There being no further business for the record, the meeting was adjourned at 6:03.
